That is why my PS3 is now on a PS5 controller. Sadly I have to use the PS3 Media Remote (Which has 2 x rechargeable AA in it) to turn it on cause Sony literally don't backwards support there own devices.

Pack of Energisers is cheaper & lasts waaay longer per charge and you can have 2 sets that you can swap on the fly, easy.

Good to know. I also went the Energiser route due to the unavailability of the play and charge kit.

My two controllers are doing okay on ps5. I've never run out of battery life. Recently I watched a 2 hour movie using earphones on my dualsense and played an hour of Madden, controller didn't even drop a bar. Think the longest stint I've done was maybe 5 hours with Horizon Forbidden West which used haptics and adaptive triggers, it still had a bar left before going back into the dock. There's a second controller waiting in the dock so swopping is easy enough.

Oh and I've never gotten a low battery notification on Xbox. Always just switches off. Weird, maybe thats how it works with aa batteries.

I only use AA batteries with my controllers and always receive low battery notices. No clue why yours is being strange. I've never measured how long my batteries last between charges, but it must be a long time. Probably a whole day of intense gaming or several days of normal usage.
 
That is what I do miss about Xbox, is the low battery warning.

When I play with my Series' controllers on PC, they just die, but at least they last ages, and there are always the 2 freshly charged batteries from the last batter swop
 
One thing I hated about Grim Dawn is instantly fixed when playing on Xbox.

On PC, every time you start the game, all the NPC's re-spawned, forcing you to fight loads of mobs just to get back to the place you last left, before you can progress. On Xbox, with quick resume you essentially don't leave the game so even if you come back a week/month later, its as if you never left.
 
After seeing the lousy reviews yesterday for Saints Row, I refunded my Platinum Edition preorder. I was surprised at how quickly Microsoft processed the request. Within 10 seconds I had an SMS from the bank. And it was a ‘manual’ request because I preordered it a month ago. Impressive.
 
Just pre-ordered Modern Warfare 2 Cross Gen Bundle from BT games. Hoping it will be worth the price.
 
I saw a rumour saying the new Age Of Empires is getting an Xbox version. I wonder how that's going to work in terms of default controls

Shooo Sony taking out all the stops to increase profits?

Over the last 12 months:
Releases a similar gamempass service.
Cried to the Brazilian government to stop the Activision Microsoft deal.
Increased games from $60.to $70 because of inflation (or that's what I think it is).
Stops, no wait pays developers/publishers from putting games on game pass

And they still have to increase prices!

Sony for the gamers .....
 
Oh wait and allows Sony exclusives to release on PC, with death stranding coming to Xbox game pass.
