Why pc games can be cheap cheap

Xbox series s about 2 and a half years old but not used much.
Controller would not turn on last night tried other batteries that work in my 2nd controller so its not the batteries.
Any suggestions is it worth taking it somewhere or trying to open it and seeing if I can find an issue.
I have no experience with electronics but have opened the same model controller before and have the correct screw driver required.

Check your warranty there and see what you repair options are. When my Elite 2's LB stopped working they sent me a refurbished controller for R900 and I could keep the broken one. Which reminds me I must take it to the local cell shop to see if they can repair it.

What controller would you guy recommend? Just stick with first party Xbox options or are there decent third party controllers?

I hear good things about 8BitDo controllers but it seems you need to get the right one otherwise the experience can be less than great.

My white Series S controller is working but definately feeling it's age

Gamesir controllers are pretty decent but they are wired not wireless, but my son loves his cause now he doesn't have to worry about batteries.

Only 3rd party controllers that work on Xbox = Pre-approved eg

Xbox Licensed 8Bitdo (Must have Xbox logo on them)

They blocked all others, well all the cordless ones that is. You will find the odd one that still works via cable.

Personally, I would say dont risk it, just go with OG

Price comparison:
8bitdo = R1400 (Granted they come with hall effect so there is that)

Og Xbox = R1429

If you're in Cape Town, Console Doctor.

Mark is a great guy (very responsive) and has done good work for me over the years.

Honestly believe the standard XB controller that came with my SX is soo good.
Only thing better and ott would be an Elite.

I have the Gamesir G7 and it's excellent quality. Solid feel in your hands and comfortable like the standard controller.

Only drawback for me is a pro for others. I prefer wireless.

On That Note: Sadly, I noted the 8Bitdo Ultimate 3's only work wired on Xbox/Wireless is only for PC use :(
Would love Hall effect on Xbox, but not willing to give up on wireless.

Nacon Pro 5's works great on PS5, won't mind a similar option for Xbox.

I would have someone do this mod, then you dont have to worry about it ever again

Plug the controllers into the console via the usb cable provided. It might require a firmware update.
