I would wait for All Access Pass before the Vox/FNB/Vodascum/MTN deals out there. All access = Rent 2 own + GamePass Ultimate from Microsoft.

Now if they where offering PS5 deals that might be a different story as Sony has no plans to give you affordable access.

Vodacom wants R968 x 36months for a XBox Series X and 200GB data package. Total R34 848

Seems insane.

I see Vodacom has the series s as well

You guys are probs going to think I'm insane but those aren't too bad ... considering the 100 / 100 gig data carries over monthly, It looks good for people who don't have fibre in their region :)

I still use LTE where I stay ....

Lol @ 4k60fps Series X
More lolz to follow when the Series S owners realize it is getting slower "every 6 months in" as games starts to take advantage of next gen and you can't get 'the next gen experience' from it as with dmc 5 already. As an interim xbo replacement I guess it is fine but it is still the poor man shoes problem.

Opposite is also possible... As we have seen in games where developers removed the "hardcaps" they force on games to play safe. Go look at video I posted above.

For serious tech junkies, I would agree that X is a no brainier but don't be to quick to right off/laugh at the S. Besides in this economic climate I see loads of people opting for the S instead, esp "everyman" on the street that just looking for something to escape reality with.

The thinker man in me say get S, enjoy GamePass for and wait 2/3 years for the Xbox Series X pro/PS5 Slim :p

A: No Idea what economy is gonna do so rather use that Extra $$ to get rid of dept
B: Let the tech junkies find and sort out the problems

Ja, I've been pondering the same thing. But I'll gladly take any donations starting at 12k. haha.

Is vox pay per month to own? As far as I could see it's pay per month until you stop and you don't own it if you pas the retail market value.
Just read the T&Cs now.
10.3 It states that "You will not own the equipment at the end of the rental term".
Section 11 also states "Cancellation of the Xbox service will incur a cancellation penalty equating to the total remaining monthly payments of the rental term". Which is basically you buying one but giving it away

The S makes very little sense value wise, just to get the storage on par with the X and you've almost paid for the X.

The only good reasons to choose it is if you need something small, you like the aesthetics or you're just a very casual gamer that won't have a lot of big games installed and aren't concerned about performance (maybe you have a 1080p TV).

Yeah you are spot on, casual gamer that isn't going to upgrade the memory, they will just delete games to make space.

This is what I'm seriously considering as well... that Game Pass is such a good deal.

It totally is. Awesome titles out the gates without spending R1000 on a game to get you going.
