Xbox Series X / S

It's not even just about new IP. I will gladly take sequels and even remakes. It takes way too long for games to come out now, that it feels like we're wasting money being early adopters. It took more than half the entire generation for them to finally stop making PS4/X1 games that were holding back the newer consoles. It's been almost 2 whole generations before we get a new GTA...
So you saying you have no backlog of games?

But if you feel you wasting money, why not just sell your console? Pretty sure you will get you money back, even if it is an Xbox...

Like I said, I don't want to start a whole console debate, but quite frankly this is just your opinion. And I honestly believe your disappointment with Xbox this generation is resulting in transference to all the players in the industry.

??

It the best console ever made. No dissapointment from me.
Prob from a demographic that never paid for it or buys their own games, or stays in a colon.

I don't actually. Nothing that's really a must-play. I'm playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider now because for some reason I didn't before, and that was available on the previous gen. As is Diablo 4 that you're playing.

Not gonna sell my consoles. Even though games aren't releasing as frequently as they used to, I still liked games. So I'll find something to play, even if it's a previous gen title. And there are good features on the current gen consoles like SSDs and quick resume, that I got too used to. But those are hardware things, doesn't speak to the current-gen library that's relatively small after 6 years...

This whole generation is a massive let down. It will be 6 years this year, and the library is pitiful compared to previous gens at the same point in time...

I just don’t see it.

We’ve had a fantastic “generation” of games.

And I say that in quotes for a reason.

Who cares if it’s less or more than previous years gone by, it’s not like anyone has the time to play all of it anyway.

Less is more.

Windows PC and an Xbox console put into one neat little package.

ASUS ROG, MSI Claw, Lenovo Legion Go plugged into a TV?

Ok. I get the loyalty - its part of our DNA.

Now this I can identify with. As you say, its smaller relative to previous gens. But it doesn't mean the gaming for this gen sucks. Because there is still a fluck-ton of stuff to play. I still have Forbidden West, God of War Ragnorack, Ghost of Yotei, Spiderman 2 etc etc as options to play. Let alone Arc Raider, Marathon and that wee game called Wolverine coming later this year.

So from my point of view, there are too many games to play!

Cyberpunk 2077 available on Xbox Game Pass
2026-03-10

Available now on the official Xbox Store: https://cp2077.ly/XboxGamePass

Ultimate edition was on sale for R529 Just last month.
With the GP you still have to pay R500 to get Liberty.

Not really a good deal if you want the complete game :(

And the reason I am not renewing GP Ultimate when my 3 year sub Expire end of this month.

Phantom Liberty is massive. Sure there will be a dealfor GP subscribers soon.

I looked at my library, deals with gamepass, EA offerings and gamepass stuff itself last nite.
Deleted the 2 games I have played for so many years to make a dent in my massive backlog.

I think it is still the best deal in gaming.

But the expansion is where they're currently making money from the game, doubt it's going on subscription anytime soon. The base game has already been on PS+ for a while, now it's on GP. They wouldn't be giving it away if they aren't making money from PL...

I've got a series X, I barely touch it at the moment after canceling GP. If the next gen has steam support, that would be a game changer

So every PC gonna be an Xbox next month:

Microsoft has announced that it's planning to make its new Xbox full-screen experience generally available to all Windows 11 devices in April, and is rebranding the feature as "Xbox mode" as it prepares the platform for the next-generation Xbox console project, codenamed Helix.

The news was announced during Microsoft's GDC keynote, where the company also unveiled a number of announcements for game developers building for Windows. It's clear that Microsoft views the future of Xbox game development and the future of Windows PC game development as sharing the same path.

Microsoft is pushing a unified Game Development Kit (GDK) that allows developers to build for PC, and by extension, have their game be ready for the next-gen Xbox. Additionally, the GDK also makes it easy for developers to compile their games for the current Gen9 series of Xbox consoles, maintaining compatibility with Xbox Series S/X hardware.
