Xbox Series X / S

So every PC gonna be an Xbox next month:

My view is it's the other way around. The new Xbox will be a PC that can play Xbox games.

I'm thinking MS will then hope that all the PC gamers that use GP (and anyone else) will then buy the Xbox as a PC substitute. And those who have an Xbox and a PC will just get the new Xbox console in future. So, in effect MS will now capture some of the PC hardware sales.

Quite clever if it works.

But it still won't be able to play PC exclusives.

Put out a console with Steam and GP, and that will probably be a winner...

I suspect next Xbox will only be limited to Microsoft Stores. So if the game is on Steam only you gonna need a PC but if its on Microsoft PC Store you will be able to install it on the console regardless if the game is PC only..

I welcome a Windows experience that's like Xbox. I don't think it'll be forced - that would be silly. To me this is a sign that they are starting to care about how bad Windows is for gamers.

Purely trying to fight Steam OS

The "Xbox Experience" started when jerno's started posting benchmarks on how Steam OS rocked on same hardware. Those same articles made me run Steam OS on my GMKtec K8+ media PC instead of Windows.

Uhm, at risk of knowing that this is a console thread, I'm just going to say it anyway -

Not only will your next Xbox console run on Windows, the games you play on it will be made on Windows too.

And of course some people won't mind it, that's understandable, but for the rest if Microsoft's caring is them spamming PC users with adds and notifications, soon the be behind various AI agent btw, even on the login screen before you get to see a start menu, then Microsoft can **** right off.

It's just a Microsoft's version of Steam Big Picture mode.

Not realy, Xbox App has that already. This Push is for Xbox only mode.

Note: Even on SteamOS you can run normal "Big Picture Mode" on Desktop or "Full Steam mode" that cull background apps.

You know the current Xbox is running WIndows Kernel and games are made on Windows with normal Windows API?

Are there many PC exclusives (serious - I really don't know)? And maybe MS will throw money at this problem to make the Xbox sales?
