Find myself wondering what the point of Gold is now that the online play part of it is free. I am starting to think it's only a matter of time until Gold is no more.

Great news for newcomers to the console - back in my 360 days I always thought paying to play online was lame. But sad news for Gamepass I think - no Gold means the Gamepass trick may not be possible once my current sub expires.

True. R150 p/m is a tad rough and I don't see specials yet on annual cards. 3 Months is max on Ultimate that I can find.

Edit: Ok I found on CDkeys R2085 for 12 months. (cheaper to do 12 x R150 = R1800)

Killing gold makes sense otherwise I don’t see how Game Streaming invites are going to work for those not on the Ultimate sku

Yikes the xbl gold to gamepass trick is waaaay cheaper... shieeet

Yeah but pretty sure we need to also look at beyond the Gold trick as it wont always be the case.

Honestly R150 per month is not that bad to access to the games on both PC/Xbox and also includes the free games per month. I see it as getting 4 free games a month for R150 and access to 100+ full version demo's :D

100%

I agree, the value prop will only increase as MS dumps more and more money into killing Sony lmao

and no Dragon Age or NFS in sight :(
I can understand why they did not touch Mass Effect as that would have eaten into the need to buy the remastered edition, but NFS?

I have played 16 games on my Series X and have bought my first game now which is Assassin's Creed Valhalla. It just shows you how great value Game Pass is.

A question - you pay about R150 a month for GP?

Then you have played 16 games. How many did you finish? How many did you enjoy?

Yes, I'm being a PS fan boy here, but I have never been one to try a huge amount of games and not enjoy them to the end. Honestly, just select a few awesome games and enjoy them

playing battlefront2 and came across an interesting bug - the FPS appears to impact the game clock, because the game is running at 2x "speed"

all the animations, reactions, slight movements and I ZOOM. it was unplayable but fixed with a hard reboot.

very lmao

Seems OT? I have no idea what that means. Click the link. It shows all the games I played with ratings and which games I didn't complete.

Oh ok. To be frank, I don't click strange links.

Having said that, this is so weird - why/how would you have your gaming info on "Trello"?

I think I'm registered there. I can't remember. Have used multiple tracking sites over the years. The problem is that these sites come and go and I play on many platforms. I even wrote a Raptr alternative back in the day but decided that Trello is the way to go. Track the games I play, books I read and well my projects and such. All in one convenient location.

Because it's glorious and a thing of beauty.

But you can go back to being ignored now. Just initially looked to see what you replied to my post.

Ok.

But your "glorious... " comment was a bit odd. No offence.

PS - you are not doing a good job of ignoring me
