I don't think that's how it works but I may be wrong.

While you are subscribed to Game Pass you can download and play any Game Pass games. When you stop subscribing the games stay installed but tells you that you need to purchase the games to play them.

Any games that you purchase before, during or after the Game Pass subscription stay yours forever and you can play them whenever. But games that are just downloaded and not purchased will not be playable when your subscription expires.

You missed the cool feature that if your Xbox is offline, you can "buy" some time to finish a game with an expired GP sub, well unless its a game that requires online connection to play, then you are stuffed.

Also works for games that's removed from GP.

You get an external drive where you keep the games that you are not actively paying and simply move them back once you want to play them. The faster the external, the better. You can even play some games directly from the external.

At this stage I am just trying to understand the environment to help my sister who wants to by her kids an Xbox. We looked at the price of games and someone mentioned that for the price of one game in the store you, could rather get a subscription for a year on Gamepass. So i am trying to understand how this works. Do you get annual gamepass subscriptions?
I understand that you could use your CC to purchase online through the Microsoft website or using the Xbox (I think?) but leaving your CC details on the Xbox could be dangerous especially if there are kids involved. So I think she'll prefer to just buy vouchers at this point.
(PS. I had a R72 purchase on my CC in June for Crunchyroll which i have never heard of before. I don't even own a gaming console and am the only person that has access to my CC so I had to replace the CC.)

For Xbox one, 360 and original XB games you can use any External USB drive and they will work
For Xbox Series Games you will either need to install internally or on the Seagate expansion card to play. You can however move them to the USB for storage.

You can buy annual subs directly from Microsoft but thats the most expensive option. Shopping around will get better prices ie: cdkeys or Egifts or even BT Games (I have used all 3 thus far for both Xbox and Playstation needs.

There is a known trick to buy Xbox Life for 3 months and then converting them to Gamepass on 1 for 1 time period. I dont know if this is still active. See reddit for more info

Why not just mark it as fraud with the bank instead so that they can deal with it. That way you sort out future problem as well. Getting a new card is useless if it was done with someone inside the bank.

Anyone here using Remote Play over their home Wifi Setup? My Xbox Series X is connected to LAN and Tablet to a 5Ghz Wifi AP in the same room but get same major blockyness and frame glitching now and then no matter what i change on the Wifi side Tablet is getting 800MBps up and down via Unifi speed test so no idea.

PS4 remote play no issues at all with Chiaki

That was an option but it would have cost much more than just to replace the card and there was no guarantee that I would get my money back. So I opted to get a new card and there has been no repeat of the transaction again.

I've used it before. Xbox at home connected via 5GHz, and then my phone at another house also connected via 5GHz. For the most part it was pretty playable. There was the odd stutter here and there but nothing serious. Your issue sounds strange. Could be some sort of interference on the client side.

Uniross, Energizer, hell PKcell they all work and you can get 12 hours out of a 2000mah battery easy, so look at normal AA rechargeable.

Also the Series S goes on special quite often so if you want to buy keep an eye out for specials. I think it's currently R500 off at Game. Now and then they go 40% off on the ebucks store if you are level 5 but you have to be quick to grab those.

Have a Nitecore D4 that I use for my vape's 18650's, just drop em Energizers in for an hour and I am good for a weeks play. Pretty sure cheaper charges also work, I just use what I have on hand.

If you wanna spend a tad more you can also look at getting:

I use stock standard Energizer rechargables I pick up PnP for a little over R200. Don't need anything Xbox branded
