I do wonder what the numbers look like since, in reality, MS can afford to lose up to 43% of the current base and still maintain the same revenue level.

Well the accountant can still brag about his 30% profit target.
Think Microsoft played straight into Steam's hands. So much so that I dont see myself buying next gen's Xbox. Will keep the X but will spend more on a better media PC that can play games. Like Xbox games are on Steam anyway.

I'm going to cancel. I actually own quite a few games that I haven't played yet so this is ideal for that. Then I will continue my PS Plus subscription and play games on there.

I've got until 23 December to play Game Pass games.

I’m going to cancel to try and contribute to getting them below the break even point.

Greedy corpo will only get the message if subs drop below 43 percent.

Same, won't be renewing and won't be buying their next console. It hurts because some of my best memories were on Xbox...

Don't think there will be a next console, gaming is not like it used to be, developments are taking way to long that a new console drops and development for it takes so long the next one is almost upon us before games came out.

Don't forget price.

Of the 9 console owners in my company, only 2 own PS5's, 6 are still on PS4, and one Series S owner.
I'm the only one who sports a Switch 2, PS5 + Xbox Series X. The other PS5 owner also has a OG Switch.

Oh yeah price as well, I mean the launch price was high enough, then it just never went down? Sure it was released at the worst time in history, plus honestly this hasn't changed as there has been GPU shortages, now RAM and other shortages which won't help pricing any further.
Honestly this feels like it might end up like the gaming crash of 83, cause has there really been any wow moment in gaming in the last 5 years? I mean the UE5 Matrix demo was pretty much the only thing really ;-).
I mean I'm playing Gears of War again, but this time on my Rog Ally not the actual Xbox, why cause it runs well and I can play it anywhere and well it's Gears of War and it's comforting :-)

I'll probably buy the next XBox if the price is not unreasonable and it can play Steam games. Since I'm looking for something like that in any case.

Similar to me - XBox Series S and X; OG PS4 (gathering dust in cupboard - I really should just sell it); OG Swtch (used so occasionally that upgrade is unjustified).

My most regularly used are the XBox consoles and my PC

You don't fall back to Nintendo.... that's called upgrading....

They don't do sales, and you'd be better off getting a PC with Retrobat + ROMS or even buying a R46S that can plug into a TV than subbing to their service.

I bought a couple of games now with the Black Friday specials since I will be without Game Pass beginning next year.
