Moxier is on the phone already. 4 apps : Moxier Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Sync. All X10s should come with it.
Where is yours from and what software are you running ?(Settings, About ) I am on R1FA014 - still waiting for 016 or the one that is supposed to come out very soon. Might debrand and go to 016 if nothing happens soon......

As far as I know Exchange support is in the new versions. I saw the X10, and having a big liking for SE, I seriously wanted to get this phone...Problem: There is absolutely NO info about it getting any upgrades at any time soon, and I am currently using Android 2.1, So I cannot go back and use an older OS. The multi-touch for me will also be a big consideration, as I have had single touch from the start, and can see the use in multi touch.

why dont you just flash the phone so you can have the generic firmware instead of the vodacom one?
it can easily be done, trust me.....loads of ppl have done it.
I helped a friend flash his...we just followed the instructions from one of the esato forums posts...and in about half an hour he had an unbranded generic firmware. Will send you the link to the instructions later on...cause I cant seem to access the site from work.

I am tempted to flash, but a new version is supposed to be coming out about a week ago..... and with 100+ apps installed it becomes a mighty task to get everything back to how it was beforehand.
Anyone care to elaborate on an easy way to get your settings and apps back to normal after flashing without all the pain?

yeah I know what you mean about it being a pain when you have loads of apps and other stuff in it...i use a paid app called mybackup pro....it backs up everythings...contacts, sms, apps etc.
though if you know where to look you can get it for free

I am currently using the free/trial version - works great. How many settings does it back up - will your phone be the same after you have flashed it or does it just do the basics?

I got my X10 on Saturday (Vodacom) and I'm really liking it. I assume that its branded since there is the usual Vodaphone Browser Icon in the menu (red with Vodacom planet), but I'd like to debrand it in order to get the new software updates. I've had some poor experiences with MTN in the past where the phone firmware never gets updated even though there are several new releases from the manufacturer. (SE W900i comes to mind) Anyways, I don't want to be stuck on Android 1.6 when SE release 2.1.
Which Generic version is supported here? I assume I should I download the UK version?

You should go to generic UK and then to Nordic to be on the latest one. We are anticipating a new general release any day now so you may want to wait and see, but to get that one as soon as possible you would still need to debrand and go to UK generic at least to be able to get it from SEUS. Not sure what you mean by "supported here" - none are supported here besides the one that comes on the phone!

Wow, I must say that after the phone update it just works much smoother. Menu's don't 'pause' (or frame skip) while scrolling through fast and the keyboard seems more responsive. I just don't know why our SP's are so slow to update the software or why they need to remove applications, like Moxier/ SE Sync.

dont know if my phone will be the same, as I haven't restored it yet using it...but from the reviews I have read...it works well.
It will back up contacts, app install files, apps, call log, bookmarks, sms, mms, email, systems settings, alarm, dictionary, calendar
install the htc_ime keyboard...it is great...much, much better than the stock x10 keyboard, which quite frankly isn't great
@mith : That was one of the first things that I did. I now prefer the Swype keyboard to be honest - much faster than typing
yeah I tried swype, and didnt like it...cause sometimes when you keep on moving your finger you cant see the keyboard.

@ chatz the cash price is R6795 , on contract its free on a talk 1000 ( where you get a 1000 minutes free sub-fee is R1500) pmx24
any other packages there`s a cash payments like the talk 500 ( once off payment cash=R1599)
or monthly payment for the next 24 months, for instance talk 500 sub-fee is R800 + R99= R899 per month x 24
