So how do you get exchange to work on this thing?
"As far as I know Exchange support is in the new versions." - true, which is why SE bundled the phone with Moxier till they release 2.1 in Q4
I have heard that some Vodacom X10's are missing some apps.......can those of you affected supply more info about where you got your phones please?
^ Someone around here has tried and failed, but I read somewhere that you can always "unbrick" with the SEUS, so maybe it is safe. I will look for the post and enquire.....
Found it : Valken on post #48. Not sure if he got a new phone or fixed it?
I am tempted to flash, but a new version is supposed to be coming out about a week ago..... and with 100+ apps installed it becomes a mighty task to get everything back to how it was beforehand.
Anyone care to elaborate on an easy way to get your settings and apps back to normal after flashing without all the pain?
yeah I know what you mean about it being a pain when you have loads of apps and other stuff in it...i use a paid app called mybackup pro....it backs up everythings...contacts, sms, apps etc.
though if you know where to look you can get it for free![]()
I am currently using the free/trial version - works great. How many settings does it back up - will your phone be the same after you have flashed it or does it just do the basics?
@Rob123:
When I received my phone, I had apps missing like Moxier, Sony Ericsson Sync and when attempting to do an update on build version R1FA014, it told me that there were none. So after scouring these forums a bit and asking some questions (Thanks ToxicBunny) I decided to debrand it and got the R1FA016 Nordic version. I was unsure if these Generic versions worked 100% on MTN/Vodacom/CellC, since I've read that there were people struggling to get 'signal' after flashing it, but the generic versions seem to work fine.
Wow, I must say that after the phone update it just works much smoother. Menu's don't 'pause' (or frame skip) while scrolling through fast and the keyboard seems more responsive. I just don't know why our SP's are so slow to update the software or why they need to remove applications, like Moxier/ SE Sync.
If anyone needs help debranding, feel free to PM me.
@mith : That was one of the first things that I did. I now prefer the Swype keyboard to be honest - much faster than typing![]()
Anyone from Vodacom care to comment on availability now that it is available in the UK, etc.?
