Your Favourite Open Source Software?

Thanks. I've added these but I left off Myna for now as they don't seem to have published any code yet, just spec documents and OfficeEU as they seem to be a Nextcloud hosting provider - I don't see anything related to a separate open source software project,

I must get around to checking out Nextcloud. It's been a while since I last had an instance. There's a few other new and reworked competing products around the last couple of years.

Sorry about OfficeEU - I was supposed to list Euro-Office, a port of OnlyOffice...

So after many years of being an Open Source enthusiast, I have finally created an open source app of my own worth sharing! (Thanks to the powers of AI.)

It is a tool to help "Accidental CISO's" assess the cybersecurity posture of their organisation against the CIS Critical Security Controls, Identify gaps and prioritise improvements based on risk.

This looks like freeware rather than open source software.

Thanks for the suggestion though - advocating the benefits of open source versus freeware is part of the point of this thread!

Lovely to see something by Dave Plummer (TinyRetroPad). Go and watch his YT. Its fun and entertaining.
Been watching his channel for a while now, good to see so many 'older' content creators on Youtube.

You know he was convicted for fraud for writing malware.
By agreeing to the settlement, SoftwareOnline.com, Inc., and its chief technology officer David W. Plummer, of Redmond, admit multiple violations of the state Consumer Protection Act. Specifically: 1) inducing computers users to download and purchase its products by making false claims that the computer is at risk; 2) transmitting software that generates multiple advertisements; 3) offering an uninstall option that did not remove all the software, and 4) engaging in "negative option billing,” resulting in consumers being billed for items they did not affirmatively request.
