Let's take a walk down memory lane, dig through your drawers and try to power up your oldest cellphone.

I just made a call on my Nokia 1610 with home made battery :

Will see how long this battery last. Might change it to a Li-Po one that fits into the battery pack.

got a 3110 nokia that still working;

also a sony ericsson z550 and a z600 phone as well that both work,

battery is shot but both working;

Siemens ME45 - still working and gives a weeks worth of power with the original battery.

We give our old phones away.

Closest I have is my emergency phone.

Currently in the cupboard with the fully charged battery not attached to the phone.

Samsung D500.

Only thing broken is the battery cover clip.

my dad's still got his; most amazing phone ever!

only damage is a scratch on the screen when he didnt use the pouch and kept in in his pocket;

why they never made similar phones afterwards I will never know;

The D500 was good but the D600 ( business version ) was better ( slimmer and ruberised back ). Mine went through a washing machine ( on two separate occasions ) and I gave it to my brother years ago to use. As far as I know that phone still works and is being passed on.

Remember that extra speaker you could plug into the headphones slot to make it louder? :)

Cleared out all the older non-smartphones & chargers a while ago, but oldest I kept is 1st gen iPhone 2G. Still works but the screen is cracked.
