YouTube testing ad-blockers blocking

Because in the same way you seem to think the onus is on content-creators to get others to reduce ads, maybe the onus is also on paying subscribers to get others to pay? It's a bit petty this attitude of wanting everything for free and not willing to pay unless the system is perfect. We enjoy so much content on youtube, but then don't want to contribute an ounce to keep that content rolling in? Weird attitude to have.

Never said I want anything for free. I know when I am getting abused, if you don't, so be it.

I do not have a relationship with the creators.

The creators have a relationship with YouTube.

I am not prepared to allow YouTube to hold me hostage, to support their creators.
I am prepared to pay for value that I percieve. I have a choice in the matter.

They have their rights, and their rights, in no way, manner or means, abrogate mine.

So be it, they push, too many adds, not my problem. Abuse me and my time, I do something about it. If some other channel sensitises me heavily, and your channel suffers as a result, again not my issue.

You in a particular bussiness, see to it that those in the same space behave themselves. Otherwise you are going to suffer alongside them.
I don’t agree but you do you.

Anyone try:
  • vivalid browser
  • brave browser
with youtube?
These browsers have built in ad blockers and use chrome UA with blink renderer.
Cheaper that youtube subscription.

I use brave browser. Makes youtube like everyone wishes it was. Not a single advert.cant remember if i run another add on ontop of it for youtube ad blocking.

Everything is free on the internet if you know where to look and what to do. I dont pay for anything and youtube will never get me to pay for premium after their stunt ,making the experience so irritating to drive users to pay.

You, as the consumer/viewer are the end product.
Add blocker. Ghostery work well.
Turn Java script off also works.
Bombard the adds I just never go back to your site again.

I have YT Premium. Works wonders on my TV (before premium watching on my TV was a nightmare)
My phone, being a Huawei with no YT app, uses the YT Vanced app with the same premium account. Works well.

Perhaps on regular/other social media sites. The product on Youtube is the videos. The creators of those videos receive a share of the revenue through advertising and premium accounts. Blocking ads hurts both Youtube and creators.

They should go back to having regular jobs like the rest of us and doing it as a hobby.

I have a YouTube account but I couldn't be bothered to login for every link to a YouTube video and I'm not removing my ad block.
Will see how life without YouTube goes but I'm sure it will be fine.
