Totally agree, very frustrating!
 
Based on what I am reading, I am glad it's primary purpose is a satnav.

Although there I am having an issue.
With Waze running the battery actually drains (plugged into USB). It's slow - but it is going down and not up. Change to Nexus 5 and my battery achieves 100% with the same app running.

Think it's time to cancel the Afrihost MiFi contract and use the SIM from the Zest in the MiFi for the next year. Sell the Zest to recover some of the spend.
Thankfully the R2k is good value for the data alone

I'm doing exactly this.

Although I'm still unsure how I feel about the Zest, my current S2's battery life and random freezing/crashing isn't doing me any favours. So I'll have to hang on. I'm also not going to buy into any contract phones now so it'll just have to do.
 
Anyone having issues with charging?

Plug phone in and it goes into a reboot cycle. On off on off?

Happened to me today. Thought it may be the charger but it wasn't. It's charging normally now.

Have two phones work standby and personal both MTN contracts.
Quite tempted to make the change to 1 phone..
Voice/SMS both sims active or just one at a time ?
Same for whatsapp ?? Etc

Both sims active at the same time. Voice + SMS support incoming both. Outgoing for voice , sms you have select which sim to use either on the fly or in the settings. Whatsapp, skype will use the sim you set as your data connection so you would only be able to use one at a time for it.
 
The YouTube app is giving me some problems.

It plays for about15 seconds then the video stops whilst the audio continues.

Does anyone else have a problem with it ? :/
 
So my zest dropped me today. :(

Battery was at 44% and I was busy with an important call when it just died. Did all the normal tricks, but in the end I was just hoping it was a flat battery. Had to walk all the way to the closest charger, at work, and was quite relieved and upset at the same time to see it start up again and start to charge. There goes that trust in the battery level.

Teething problems it seems, battery seems iffy, when I plugged in mine it went into reboot loop.
