Zest T1

I get the following error:

"An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands! "

Downloaded UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.o1.zip and tried to install it via CWM. Which recovery setup must I use?
 
I am getting battery issues. My battery died at 30% without any battery warning beeps. Then when it eventually started up the battery got to 30% almost immediately and and from 30% onwards started charging again at normal slow speed.

After the google maps fix am I the only one that gets google maps crashing when I move on the map and click on the Go To My location icon that it freezes? Also navigation still crashes all the time.
 
Now if only we can fix the screen sensitivity issues the device will almost be usable as a normal smartphone.

Ive got a feeling its more of a hardware problem otherwise they would have fixed it by now??
 
I've noticed that some people who attempts to root does it the hard way. I struggled using tutorial after tutorial (to no avail). I chucked all that away and went back to basics. The complete process took me less than 5 minutes (including reboot time).

If you're one of those who struggled, drop me a PM.
 
My wife walked in while I was flashing my phone. Felt really silly standing there naked......:p
 
Can someone plz advise if this phone is able to receive calls on both sim cards that are installed? provided you are not using the "Afrihost Sim" which obviously cant take or make calls.
 
Anyone else have the mac address change with the flashing? I've got a new mac address... only noticed it cause I've set up my wifi router with mac filtering and couldn't connect with the phone after flashing :/

Yeesh I hope we didn't all get same mac address? I am on fccc162059xx - yours different to that?

Still have to resort to Wifi Roaming Fix to maintain constant wireless connectivity (which does do the job just fine) - but at least the partitioning makes a bit more sense: I can confirm there's now a total of exactly 3.94GB of available phone storage.

My last remaining wish is an improvement in touch accuracy on the screen.

Otherwise, I'm now pretty happy with the T1.

Working Well so far Touch Screen and Keyboard does seem better.

Just had DA error below trick solved it Tx.

Just copy the files to the mentioned path
C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Final Repartition Afrihost firmware
 
A quick update:

The root method I have will only work if you have partitioned your device (thanks Paul :) ). If you have not yet, please head over to the Zest Mobile Website and download the repartition package.

I will be posting the process once I have heard back from a few other users (to make sure it's not a fluke). In the mean time, please PM for instructions.

Previously my mac address started with 04422e, but now it starts with 0cc1d6. Weird... anywho doesn't look like everyone is getting the same address, thank goodness
 
So I pull out the battery, plug it in, it shows in device manager for a second and then ejects itself...?
