Zuma for Prez

That's just sad. This country is really going down the drain. Think of what will happen if that snake becomes president? All I know is that I'm out of here for sure if this happens.

Can't say that poll can be regarded as too accurate anyway, its based on people who actually chose to phone in, which means they're probably fairly passionate about the issue i.e. more likely to support Zuma. Not a truly random scientific poll.

No - a proportion chose to phone in - others through the internet - others by mail(?) - they don't say - 8 137 is a lot of people.

They had a poll off their web page as well which contributed. The poll was open to abuse anyway, you could vote as often as you liked.

:D oh dear.

Maybe that should be  instead.

Most people in power are... Mugabe on the other hand sounds like an imbecile onpaper and in person

Why so that when he buys himself a R20m house at the end he can be slaughtered in the media :P (Don't answer I am just being full of it)

A civil war is obviously a worrying thought, I just wonder how much power the president of SA ever has? Telkom seems to completely ignore our current president. I remember when we all found out Mbeki was going to be the next president everyone panicked because he was going to kill us all and start a civil war.

That never happened, maybe Zuma does have a point about the conspiracy?

If I could choose a new president I think I would choose one of the following

1. Tokyo Sexwale
2. Trevor Manuel
3. Tito Mboweni

I think they would all do very well as President. Trevor has already ruled himself out and I doubt Tokyo would give up the high flyer lifestyle, maybe we could bend Tito's arm?
Yea .. I could live with Tito.
Damn shame that Trevor ousted himself from the race though.

I never thought that Mbeki would do anything untoward at all.
I am a little baised having experienced Zulu stubbornness first hand.

P.S. Dom ... loooong time no C.

*waves at stoke*

i don't believe that we have seen all the candidates as yet - an intelligent politician aspiring to the post would be keeping their profile very low at the moment so as not to be dragged into the mbeki/zuma division

... - an intelligent politician ...

BWAHAHAHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I hear that Cyril might be a good choice too. Actually, my respect for Trevor tripled when he excluded himself. He knows where his strengths lie (and have been proven) and would best serve SA in that position.

Zuma is a selfish a$$ who couldn't care 2 hoots if the country slides further into a depression and crime-ridden pit - that would just make it easier to line his pockets and those of his friends. I promise this: if he gets the top spot, it will be easy to get his mates into the high positions as well, ensuring his own unassailable position.

Zuma may have been cleared of the rape and fraud charges, but this was purely because of incompetence (or underhanded fiddling) on the part of the state. I have no doubt that the man is corrupt, with zero interest in the country as a whole, purely wanting to keep his supporters happy. That's quite easy to do during the course of 1 or 2 presidential terms. When the cracks do start showing, it's simple to skip the borders (I-mean 'retire') to a nice little villa in Europe or South America.

*sigh* for the last time, Zuma has not been cleared of fraud charges. The state is waiting for the outcome of the Shaik appeal and the States appeal on the seizure of documents by the Scorpions to see whether they will press charges again.

Thought you were gone for good, so your threat to run away from the forum was lame?

Tell you what - you ignore me and I will ignore you - I don't like using small words all the time anyway.

You said you couldn't handle the heat on the forum and left, so I just want to know what has changed now to make you return?

No difficulty to answer that one! Its due to the Reverse racist fools, they would be too happy if some forumites leave! So they can discuss their own stupidity with themselves and tell each other how well its going in this country!

Yeah! like this one! http://www.mweb.co.za/news/?p=top_article&i=288431

I can see it already. Zuma at his first high-profile meeting with international heads of state. When he gets on the stage he immediately starts shuffling about like a two-year old with a w3e, fist waving in the air. And then to everybodies amusement he starts going on about his stoopid machine gun. Idiot.....

I have just seen the numberplate JZFOR07 ZN !! The man has his supporters!
