NZ is a liberal nanny state with **** weather. Moving there is like jumping out the fire into an uncomfortably hot pot :D.

I had a dabble at living in Warwickshire. I remember some gang members shot some othe biker gang member guy off his bike a while back in the area as they chased him down on the motorway. Apart from that relatively sleepy (turns blind eye to the 'chavs') :D
 
I am at a little bit of a loss as to why we are debating crime levels again. The numbers in murders here alone surpass a few recent war zones afaik. So wtf? what are we getting at. Yes there are many bad places but there are far better one's too, the likes of which our pathetic excuse for a Government should be striving towards. Yes note how very little time I have for them.

Hell where I was at in Switzerland their biggest problems were grafitti followed by street drug pushers. But that I can live with anyday if it means I can live my life in relative safety. Jeeze!!!!

I still choose to stay in SA but that doesn't mean I'm entirely happy with it, and I believe my feelings are justified in more ways than one. Crime is just one factor of many. We worry about who is going to be our next President but I wonder if he cares for the things that really count. Somehow I have my doubts. Sure give him a chance :p you may as well take the whole of SA to chance while you are at it :) throw it all in a game of Poker why don't you, yeah it doesn't mean all that much does it? I mean it's just a nation at risk afterall :rolleyes:
 
We should ship Alanf off to some conservative middle eastern country, he'd be much happier there seeing that he can't stop bitching about liberal people ;)

Well, Iraq is such a roaring success and I'm sure that Al will find many people who share his views there.

@alanf85, seriously now, do you have any reservations at all about the American response to 9/11? I'm just interested - you're very often in a position where you're defending US foreign policy, and I'm just wondering if there is anything that you would have done differently?

Hey Zuma could actually do something for this country. Its not like he's a dictator. Sure he's a criminal, but then most politicitians rob you of the truth anyways :D. Lets give him a chance, maybe we can see an improvement. Maybe he can do something to dampen the increasing rate of crime. I mean he is a criminal, and he can run the country with an expierenced point of view :D. I don't think he can possibly go dictator on us, our democracy is far too stable, the worst that can happen is that poverty anc crime will increase, and that happens regardless of who's the fskin president :eek: :D.

Yeah, trek_mambo, obviously because there is one dude who likes to bitch and moan about SA who can't offer a valid rebuttal it must mean that everyone who feels the same as him is just as stupid right?
