Android users will have to wait a bit longer for BBM

When exactly is BBM supposed to be available for iphone

Android users who are keen to download BBM should be warned – numerous fake BBM apps have shown up from developers like “BlackBerry Inc” and “BBM Messenger for Android Devices”.

Well done including that. I'm sure many people are going to (or already have) installed fake apps.

Not on iTunes. :wtf: is this article talking about? Nz and aus don't count dammit!

The big question is WHY? Why would any Android user even want to install BBM in the first place?

Although I have never used BBM, and have no intention to ever do so, I would not write off BBM. Google had (still has it) a hugely useful app in Gtalk, which is being abandoned for an atrocious replacement called Hangouts. I think many people who are getting p'd off about the useless hangouts might well migrate to BBM.

Just another failure to launch for BlackBerry. At least they are good at something.

BlackBerry failing to meet a deadline? What a surprise.

Sadly, BB is now circling the drain hole - it's just a matter of time before it goes down. I think they will try and sell off the business units individually - I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy the entire company. BBM is one of the business units that still has some value, so adding iOS and Android support would probably increase that substantially.

Engadget is quoting a Blackberry source as saying their system could not handle the 1.1mil leaked Android versions running. WTF? If they had rolled out on time then the leak would never have reached such numbers. Secondly, how are their systems going to cope once the full rollout is completed?

I switched to NZ downloaded bbm and switched back to SA

I like it hey , I don't like having to give my phone number out to people to communicate via whatsapp,

The problem with downloading from another store is, when there is a update, ypu have to log onto that store to update the app. On the pther hand. No other place has bbm at the moment. Apparently they put a hold on the roll out.
