Axxess premium uncapped killing torrent

Using 2mbps premium uncapped. I rarely downloaded any torrent since the day i subscribe the service early this month but last weekend i tried to download from torrent and i am getting not more than 23-25kbps.

I opened the ticket but never receive any reply. I tried to phone as well they receive but fail to answer any logical reason why i am getting this issue.

I even tried to download torrent at 3AM midnight but still i was getting not more than 23-25kbps

Pathetic service by axxess...

You do know that a lot of people use torrents for legitimate purposes as well, like transferring big data files? Also, most consoles netcode for gaming is based on P2P connection.

so you think torrents are totally illegal? than why every isp mention P2P on their AUP instead of arresting their users ??? :p
 
Make a post in that thread and PM the Axxess Lady directly (you'll see her in the thread I linked earlier).

whenever i restart my modem. my torrent speed is perfect but after 5-10 minutes. the speed goes down to 5-10kbps. using adsl since long time but never experience such type of awkward problem. i don't understand what type of shaping and throttling is this on using torrent first time in whole month... :(

Does that also happen with the 1GB account? Are you sure you don't have a port/line problem then? A port reset (happens when you restart your router/enter new details) often helps for a short duration but will not help long term. Could you post your line stats after running the account for a couple of hours? You're going to have to get into touch with the Axxess Lady, but if it's something obvious like a line fault that we can easily see, we can point you in the right direction quickly.

It's on the router, under line stats/maintenance/trouble shooting etc. If you mentioned your router model we can direct you better.
 
Check your usage on the website and upgrade to a capped product that is close to your usage.

I used Axxess uncapped its very underwhelming, I then changed to a Axxess 300gig capped and got 95%-100% of what my line is capable of at all times. I generally pull 600gigs a month 300 on the cap and 300 on the uncapped part, my torrents run between 700kb/s and 900kb/s on a 10meg line.

You have to make up your mind quickly so you can cancel the old and get the new before you have to pay for an extra month.

R189 for a 100gig capped with uncapped from 12pm-6am and the speed issues will be gone.
 
Sounds like you're throttled in terms of the axxess (unpublished) FUP, how much data have you moved on this account this month?

Off topic - I don't know if it's the case here but I suspect ShowMax/NetFlix streaming is going cause problems for those with uncapped accounts across all ISPs.
