Cybersmart 200GB

Anyone here using a Cybersmart capped account?

I got my 40Mbps VDSL line and using Afrihost currently. They are not bad but twitch still buffers non stop but other than that they are okay.

Paying R199 for 100GB and R99 for Afrihost Plus+ so that makes it R298 for a 200GB account.

I see Cybersmart has their 200GB capped account for R189. I never really used cybersmart since way way back then when my first adsl line was a 384k line.

What is the cybersmart network like particularly on the capped accounts? Twitch streaming and league of legends?

Worked out some sums and look like R100+ I will save to leave my stuff unbundled and just use Cybesrmart as a ISP. The Telkom do package is also an option but it's R999. Everything unbundled with cybersmart is total R893.
 
Does Cybersmart only have a 200GB capped package? Their website is one of the most confusing ive come across.

Very confusing indeed. They only offer the 200GB for R189 stand alone adsl package. If you want smaller or bigger you need to move your line to them.

I did signup and it was instant. The account does work pretty well actually. :)

Well it's certainly not bad and was maxing my VDSL line so far on everything and the afterhours data gets counted correctly. I haven't done extensive tests for everything as yet because my Telkom LTE is working great but it's been good so far.

So far been pretty solid performance. Latency slightly higher locally and internationally compared to Afrihost.

Speeds have been pretty stable on max 20Mbps and p2p has been unshapped 24/7 so far. Also night rider data has been counted accurately :)

R189 GREAT value for money for a 200GB account with 1TB afterhours data....

Flippen solid performance since I got it. Stable low ping and max line on everything 24/7....

Surprised not more people are using Cybersmart. R189 for 200GB is the cheapest account currently and it performs so well. Impressed. :)
 
Cave, i just figured out now why you getting good results on this account. Seems judging by the thread, you the only one on this account lol :D

Hahaha yeah I see that. I'm actually surprised because it's cheap and good actually. People going for Webafrica that is R10 and look at those complaints about throttling.....
 
I must say I have not experienced any slow down in streaming in the evenings on the 200Gig Capped account. My axxess account has started to disappoint me exactly during the times I want to stream.

I'm actually really surprised that not more people are using it. They have a solid network and 200GB for R189 awesome price too.

Probably because their website looks like a 4 year old's drawing?
 
The look of the website and lack of capped options is what drove me away. terrible terrible site.
 
I have just signed up for this. I still need to check if the night data gets counted correctly. I have noticed from my projected invoice that I have been signed up for what they call their Cap Saver at something like R50/month. Think I was somehow tricked into signing up for this during the application process. Can't see that I would have anything left of the 200GB by the end of the month. Cancelling this add-on is charged at R200. Not cool..

Happened to me too. Just email [email protected] and they remove it with no charge. I did report it to them that the website is adding it automatically and said they will fix it I guess not.....

You will also get spammed for a debit order form if you just ignore it you pay via eft which is what I'm doing now.

Make sure your nightrider is also activated correctly. Mine wasn't. Looks like the account signup is extremely buggy....
