Hi guys,
I upgraded my 512 line to 4 meg about a month ago. It only took them 2 or so days to do the upgrade, and for about 2 weeks it ran like an absolute dream. 400k download speed and 45k upload speed (give or take).
About 2 weeks ago, my internet seemed to be running quite slow, so i started doing some speed tests. The fastest my line has ever run since then is 52kB/s. My router though is still syncing at 4096down and 384up.
I've tried 3 different ISP accounts: Mweb, Openweb (IS) and Allyoucaneat. They all have exactly the same speed. NO more than 52kB/s. I use my Allyoucaneat account at work on my 4meg line at my speeds are fine (400kB/s), so it's not an ISP issue.
I'm paying for 1 meg ADSL, but only getting 512. I've logged a fault with Telkom, but no one really seems to know what's going on (no great surprise). They cleared the fault once without it being fixed, so i had to re-report it (which is frustrating enough).
Please could someone help me with my frustrations.
