Been getting calls reg people who cant connect to there dsl accs (IS & SAIX)

2 of our dedicated servers at different data centers cant be pinged

Connecting via MTN/Voda, slow speeds, timouts..

Seems today is not a good day.

Telkom havnt responded as yet...
 
Cape Town - Gardens currently up and fine.

Though problems remain in Parkhurst JHB - Mother in Law been out of service for a couple of days since the last big storm. Beginning to suspect damp cabling somewhere!
 
I've been having connection problems since Saturday with Saix and WebAfrica.

Browsing very slow and email down using Telkominternet.

No problems here for a change, near the Kruger ;)
 
Don't know if this is related, but one of my clients adsl line look like this...
(This is done from my office with a 10sec delay. Both use telkom accounts... )

I went down a few times since 3:30 this morning...
 
i been having problems since thursday, but lightning hit the exchange. Line is up for 45 minutes, down for 2 hours, up for 7 minutes, down for 30 minutes. been doing it non stop
 
the Problem is in the TELKOM side!!!!!
if u look in your Dsl router, check your logs
on netgear it will tune about Initialize LCP....

now if the LCP cant come up, it cant AUTH user/pass.
so there 4 no internet. so saix , is and telkom guest account will not work..

you can phone up the dsl helpdesk, they will tell you every thing is fine with your line..
they only look at the sync of the line.. and go by that.

try getting a dsl port reset done.
if that dont work.. u can just sit and wait for it to start working agian..
