My connection is just dead, hardware seems fine, but no activation page issue, just no internet. Since last night.

Also in Parys, Afrihost on Vumatel is dead here since last night.

We are aware of the issue with activation pages loading for clients.

We are investigating.

A fix has been implemented to remove redirects.

Clients should no longer get activation page redirects.

In addition to the above social media (PNI) indicates that the issue is bigger than Afrihost. ISPs I’ve seen mentioned include Vodacom and Mweb as well

That's spooky, I was typing out this same question more or less an hour ago and decided I'll ask in the morning.

Maybe ask again when they've dealt the activation issues

The fault has been resolved as of this morning. Your ONT is showing up. I have logged a new ticket but please double-check the router and cabling.

The 1000/250 already came down from 1.8k to 1.3k, so I don't think it will increase again. Unless they introduce 1000/500 and keep 1000/250. I'm going to be annoyed as the 1000/250 is very well priced now.

Unfortunately Vumatel has 2 wholesale lines rates. One for 1000/250 and one for 1000/500. The price difference is quite significant so if the wholesale price of the 1000/500 comes down there will be a price change.
