Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Also in Parys, Afrihost on Vumatel is dead here since last night.

There is an outage confirmed.

In addition to the above social media (PNI) indicates that the issue is bigger than Afrihost. ISPs I’ve seen mentioned include Vodacom and Mweb as well

Had the issue for a few min now it's gone after a router restart

Day 3 and my sunny attitude is getting a bit darker.

A support response of "the issue has not been resolved" to the question "I've still got no connection, do you have an update and an ETR?" didn't help either.

NVM, I'm an idiot.

Hi

The fault has been resolved as of this morning. Your ONT is showing up. I have logged a new ticket but please double-check the router and cabling.

Apologies for the late reply. I have well over 50 private messages and trying to attend to everyone asap.

Hey, random question for the reps. Do you know if MFN will offer 3rd party ISPs 1000/500 yet, or only their own still?

If it does happen, will the price increase I suppose
The 1000/250 already came down from 1.8k to 1.3k, so I don't think it will increase again. Unless they introduce 1000/500 and keep 1000/250. I'm going to be annoyed as the 1000/250 is very well priced now.

Hey, when's the price of 1000/500 coming down on Vumatel?

Unfortunately Vumatel has 2 wholesale lines rates. One for 1000/250 and one for 1000/500. The price difference is quite significant so if the wholesale price of the 1000/500 comes down there will be a price change.
