We all want faster for cheaper. Get rid of the 384's

The whole thing makes me ill. Can't they just scrap 384k and 512k, reduce 4Mpbs price and everyone will have the same. I'm sure the Communist party will help out in this regard.
Who still uses 1Mbps not even to speak about 512? It must take ages to load a heavy populated page...
Seems like MWEB is the leader and other ISPs follow suit?
They are slowly getting the speed right, now how about dropping the excessive shaping/throttling policies.
Sigh. I think this is a mistake. 512 should be kept for those that can't get 1Mb/s and The contention ratios are bad enough as it is. Making it R299 instead of R379 will just make it worse.
I still can't handle the massive pictures of telecoms execs in the middle of articles. Not entirely sure what the purpose of these are, but they could at least be a little less imposing.

Crisis, I never thought these words would ever be uttered. I remember how they used to milk this country for dial up....
Combo (axxessline R249 + Mweb data account R299) R548

I don't think you can hybridise your accounts like that. Either it's ADSL line with Telkom, or with your ISP supplying your internet. I don't think you can have your line with one ISP, and get your internet gigs from another. Not sure though.
Some ISPs do offer the line only, usually at a discounted rate.
