I still think that they should unlock the ADSL sync speed to whatever your line can handle and let the ISP handle the limiting.

Getting true 384K out of a 384K account is much nicer than being limited by your ADSL sync.

If they give you a capped account they shouldn't care too much about the speed. If they give you uncapped they can limit it by speed.

They are slowly getting the speed right, now how about dropping the excessive shaping/throttling policies.

But it is cheaper internet, and I guess that is what we all really want right now.

I don't think you can hybridise your accounts like that. Either it's ADSL line with Telkom, or with your ISP supplying your internet. I don't think you can have your line with one ISP, and get your internet gigs from another. Not sure though.

Some ISPs do offer the line only, usually at a discounted rate.

Totally agree. I used to have dial up with mweb & they used to charge ridiculously high for dial up
