Not to harp on about umpires, but the older ones are sure having shockers in the field.
Rudi Koertzen did not refer TWO run out desicions to the 3rd Umpire and they were both out.![]()
This was about the dullest match of the season, hope Gayle plays in the next one.
Sorry, bit late to comment on tests - but overall, though Windies much better than previous tours to SA.
Chris Gayle, the West Indies captain, will fly home to the Caribbean after admitting that his injured thumb and hamstring will not heal in time for him to play in any of the four remaining ODIs in South Africa.

Gees what's with these guys? They get their big break and then they break down, Neil and now Justin!!! Unlucky for them. Yeah last chance for Gibbs one would imagine, no pressure Herschelle...Just heard on the news that Gibbs will replace the injured Ontong. Hope he can get out of the crater he's batted himself into.
Oh, and Newlands does not have back up power. So if viewers have electricity to watch the game, the stadium might be lights out.
What's the weather in Cape Town like anyway? Anyone?
It's weird, Gibbs seems out of touch in tests, but not in ODI's. Yet he wasn't dropped properly for the tests, but he was dropped in ODI's after failing once. Did we forget that he demolished NZ in the last ODI? Or that he's ranked among the top 10 ODI batsmen?
mmm... yeah test cricket pressures are slightly different, less fielding and bowling restrictions in test cricket so if there's a bowler who's been successful in getting Gibbs out in the past he can bowl all day at him. also fielders can be placed in strategic positions to further put pressure on the batsman.Any particular reason for a batman to have differences in form in the different formats of the game over continuous periods?![]()
