According to an agent plat pro linux might be going up R20 but no official word yet.
Some of us need to notify clients >.<

Yes, you will receive the new pricing before the 1st of April.

Just received a mail, bumping price to R1217. I don't want it, I cannot afford it. Guess I'll be looking at potions to downgrade or switch providers.

So Openserve increased the 50Mbps line to 75Mbps from 1 April 2023 and the price charged by Afrihost will increase with R50 pm.

So it will not be a free upgrade.

The wholesale price has increased with the new package changes. We are unfortunately forced to increase our retail prices.

How is this legal and possible ?
I am an Afrihost customer for less than a month and received an e mail saying that my subscription is increasing from R390.50 to R547.00 per month , daylight robbery !

SA’s favourite connectivity provider is set to upgrade fibre network speeds for all customers on the Openserve fibre network.

No where does it state any increase in price .
Open Serve have done this in the past and there was no charge to their customers .

And neither does it say anything about prices remaining unchanged. It has however now been confirmed that there was an accompanying price increase

My 50/25 line is going to 75/50, with a R50 increase.
50/25 @ R697.00 -> 75/50 @ R747.00
It's a small cost for the increase but I also don't really need it.

Does anyone know what the 25/25 line is changing to?

25/25 will be 40/40 for R647 pm

Does OS charge a downgrade fee like vumatel?

Hello. They don't not charge a downgrade fee. There's a 30 day calander notice for a downgrade, it is not effective immediately.
