It depends on various factors. Channel width, channel number, how crowded the channel is, and most important, what data rates your device actually supports.Yea guys I understand the concept but it should not be making a difference at all with any speeds less than 100mbps. 2.4GHz should output theoretically the same speed as 5Ghz at a close distance from the router. Especially since these speeds are not fast at all.
If you have a 100mb fibre line. 2.4ghz/5ghz will give you the exact same speed test results at close distance.
On average, a plug n play 2.4Ghz setup does around ~50Mbps.
