2TB Anytime data

Yea guys I understand the concept but it should not be making a difference at all with any speeds less than 100mbps. 2.4GHz should output theoretically the same speed as 5Ghz at a close distance from the router. Especially since these speeds are not fast at all.

If you have a 100mb fibre line. 2.4ghz/5ghz will give you the exact same speed test results at close distance.
It depends on various factors. Channel width, channel number, how crowded the channel is, and most important, what data rates your device actually supports.

On average, a plug n play 2.4Ghz setup does around ~50Mbps.

Hi all,

I have been having issues with p2p on the original uncapped lte package and I am considering upgrading to this package. Telkom is throttling my p2p even though I havent reached the 50Gb cap.

The customer care consultants dont seem to know that p2p is not throttled until it reaches the 50Gb cap. Any issues with p2p on the 2TB deal?

I am on the 220gb Afrihost Telkom LTE package using a B618-22d and also get better speeds on the 5Ghz network.

There is no limit on the p2p. I dont use torrents that much any longer, but I tested this last month. Downloaded 3 UHD movies +/- 100gb in total.

Just an FYI...

If you are looking for the MR600 and happen on one at a local cash converters, check the sticker and make sure its NOT a vodacom model. (SSID vodacom-xyz - IP address changed to 10.0.0.254)

Bought one and had to return it because some settings where missing...

WAN interface - Missing (ie: cant setup up internet profiles or change bands)
Operation Mode - Missing (ie: cant set to bridge mode)
Firmware Upgrade - Missing (ie: well, this ones self explanatory)

Tried the method to boot in recovery and flash via Tftpd64 but there was no response.

TP link website had a few default IP's to listen on but none work with what I had.

Migrated to the 2Tb deal this morning and everything is flying
Great move. Your unused data will also roll forward to the following month. No throttling after the 350Gb usage (although I can recall only 3 to 4 times this happening to me on the previous uncapped package).
No longer have the FUP of 50Gb for p2p and its also not time limited. You can use the data as you please.

Yes I agree, it's an awesome package. I also havent gone over the 350Gb and 2Tb should more than enough for my usage. Should have done this sooner lol. Thanks for you input, appreciate it :)

I know right, I just wondering if the don't have something planned for us 2TB customers. Would not be the first time they just change a package on customers.

When I went in to the Telkom store today the sales lady told me that there are no restrictions other than the 2Tb limit per month. Guess we will wait and see what they do.

Yes that's also what they told us we first got those LTE uncapped packages back in the day. They still changed it on us.
Will see if I have those old emails may post some snips here.
