40Mbps uncapped VDSL prices compared

Telkom recently cut the price of its 20Mbps and 40Mbps uncapped VDSL services – here is how these new rates stack up against other ISPs

The telephone line loop length has to be <1km to achieve 40Mb/s, so unfortunately not a lot of people will be able to get it.

Economies of scale will then take a long time to be a factor here in lowering the prices any further.

Real great investigative journalism would be to find out how many people are on 20 and 40Mbps and how many potentially can be (how many exchanges can run this kind of speed)

Whoever can get 40Mbps is very tech savvy to find out what is best ISP for him

Don't forget that right now every internet connection I have been at since somewhere last week does not download faster than 50KB/s , feels like the entire tygerberg - CPT area is ****ed.

So all these telkom superfast telkom 20/40mbps telkom internet articles of late, is nothing but a bad joke to me atm
