Case of the horse has already bolted, but you right....NEVER utilise an "limitless/credit limited" account. You going to get burned....whether a lapse on your side, a f up on their side...you going to be liable...top ups are the best, you can never overspend!! Good luck bud!!

60GB+60GB on 8ta is R1800. 25/25@999. 10/10 on Afrihost (MTN network) is R497 and no contract. Get 3 Sims and 33GB is under R1650 ... That is what the next guy pays for the same data with the night surfer as a bonus!

Before this drama, I was planning to learn Libgdx for game dev. I'm thinking I should continue with that efforts and create a fun game that tastefully educates players about the realities of data costs in this country. Start a kickstarter or similar campaign. Remember nothing for nothing. Please I don't want donations!

Respect to SA Game Developers! And yes Stasis demo http://www.stasisgame.com was part of my 67k stash and DAM worth it!

I had lent my personal uncapped data stick to a friend. The whole argument about it being my fault for using work asset for personal use, is unfair, there are numerous examples of scientists, creators, people who used "company assets" for their own personal use as they normally would not have access to such "assets" and from these experiences, experiments and mishaps, it further developed our understanding of the world and brought about innovation and change (for better or worse? A debate for another topic)

Appearntly there was this dude who worked in a patent office, who dared to dream... I don't think you heard of him...

My point is this, some or maybe all of our corporate cultures should be re evaluated.

One thing I would love to do if I ever get into a position where I make telecoms law is force providers to put soft caps on accounts. Make it that they are forced to cap at a certain amount unless the user phones in and unlocks for more data. Regulation that all providers have to provide their users the ability to hard cap themselves should also be out there.
 
Just bought a 24H one as well... no message saying anything about activation except saying dial *141*something to check balance... meh not that i need the points anyways.

That quote has absolutely no reference to your situation. You went OOB, stop romanticizing it. That's an arena we'd rather be on the side of than in. I'm not sure what kind of credit you think you deserve for it.

First of all, this is the internet, toughen up. It can be much harder than real life if you don't stick to pics of kittens on FB. So none of that retract "your statement" please.

Second of all, you have a "different" posting style, your posts wonder off about the topic at hand, people just don't derail their own thread that quickly normally.

Third of all, stop with the self aggrandizing about you charitable this and that. Makes you sound like a politician, and we dislike those, its just that we dislike some a whole lot, while others are just just bearable. Hell, I don't start a thread about some tasty food I had and then go off about some neighbourhood watch activity where I saved a person from rape or other assault and the other myriad of things I've done there.

Going out of bundle, has cost me, some might agree not a small change amount. I asked for advice and was given. People have provided practical and relevant advice. "You messed up, man up, pay it off, move on" from this I was trying share my plans and actions with dealing with this.

To the senior members of mybroadband I sincerely apologise for wasting your time and clearly failing South African internet forum posting rules.
