8ta Diablo 3 Ping / latency

I was testing Diablo 3 gaming last night but I was getting a latency of 400-800.
I'm testing from the Western Cape, Southern Suburbs area and I have full 3G coverage.


Does anybody with 8ta 2 + 1gig promo also have this issue?
Another thing is that when I do a speedtest and pingtest, it says I am in jo'burg?
 
I can't play D3 on 8ta because the latency is too high. On Cell C it's fine though.

These days I only use the 8ta bandwidth for downloading since the speeds are fast but the latency sucks where I live.

As per the other threads:
We are currently experiencing a higher than normal customer data usage which will affect throughput during busy hours. Network optimization is in progress which will address the issue. A resolve is expected by next week Wednesday (18/07/2012).

Thanks for the response. I look forward to more gaming and testing with better pings, once optimization has been completed.

Thanks for confirming what the issue is, nice to get a clear response and not the usual generic responses. Appreciate the effort and we will be sure to keep you updated on our network experience once the optimization has been completed.

:erm: Effjh - There are only so many ways you can ask people to complete a template. Complaining with providing no information will not get us anywhere.

:erm: I gave you a compliment.. This is the 3rd/4th time you have had country wide issues with your network since I've been a subscriber, and this is the first time you gave us proper feedback as to what the issue/solution is. Rather just take the positive feedback ;)

hopewell road, moseley park, pinetown , no changes yet but will be patiently waiting and checking up. i know its till the 18th they working on it.

haven't seen anyone at the tower yet.... no im not stalking :D:p

They won't be working on your tower, so pointless getting the binoculars out :P

I have found an improvement last night already, but didn't want to jinx anything! I'll test it tonight and give feedback. :)
 
Hey,

Having similar issues, started sunday 12/08/2012, really nasty ping spikes in Diablo 3 (450 - 2500ms, depending on how much is happening on screen). I stay in Waterfall KZN, have 3/5 3G bars tried 2 different HSDPA modems, same story. Still bad to date.

Any ideas?

thought i was alone on this one .... same thing is happening to me, playing alone i STILL get 400-460 ping (still playable) this started after the june SAT3 maintenance BS ...when someone joins pings jump to 780 up to 1200 or it shows 0ms and a green bar but everything is frozen , can run around though but not do anything.

ofcourse, cod4 still plays fine with 60-80ms ping ....

saix fix you carp !
 
WhenI roam on mtn with 8ta I get 500+ ping but wen using my MTN sim its fine 200 to 250ms.. so 8ta!
