8ta Pc Software not picking up 3g modem

hi there

i have two modems, the K3770 Huawei and the K3565-z ZTE

the 8ta pc software does not work with either of them! i tried everything. i managed to use it via the pc connection manager, wifi mode. but i cant tell whats my usage for the month etc. all the htreads that i have read is not helping and all the download links are not working. can somebody help me please?
 
Do you have vodafone software running in the background? It shows on your system tray.
 
nope i dont. its closed and i double checked in windows task manager and its not running at all.
 
but i do have the latest version of vodafone mobile broadband installed as well. without it installed i cant use the 3g modem and connect via wifi connections. i tried uninstalling it and yet the 8ta software still doesnt pick up the modem.

Our 8ta Connect work with most, but unfortunately not all Huawei devices.
Please see if you can get the default Mobile Partner for your dongle.
Then your APN settings need to be internet and your authentication needs to be set to CHAP.

OP - Double check there is NO "Z" on that K3770
Does it say Huawei on the back side of the modem?
 
yes the Huawei is K3770 and the ZTE one is the K3565-z. you meanthe vodacome mobile broadband software? the problem there is that i cant check my usage etc..
 
the problem is that the website is having trouble and i cant see it online and i called 8ta and the lady i dealt with just wasnt understanding what i was saying but end of the day they serices are down so she couldnt tell me my balances anyway.

i tried MDMA,its not connecting..

so back to basics..

Basics: -> First step:
Does mdma recognise this modem? Device info should give you details of the modem.

Second step: check your connection details on the top.

Third step create dialup connection called mdma (or rename existing Vodafone connection).

Now you can dial.
 
it recognises the modem, but i think its cos i finish my 10gigs plus night owl 10gigs. but i wont know cos 8ta website is down! and its a data card so i cant send a blank sms to 188 to get my data balance.
 
this is nonsense seriously! i still cant check my balance!i cant check online, the Pc software doesnt want to work and i even put my sim into a phone and i still cant get any help! as for calling 081183, thats another flop!

8ta = waste of time and money.
 
i just tried again and *188# gives me the responesthat my balance will be sent via sms, regardless to say i havent recieved an sms. online its not showing. this is very frustrating.
