You don't need to change it in Mail. Mine worked fine just changing it within the gmail app

Will wait for @Dolby to confirm.

I’ve just reset everything and starting afresh. There may have been setting’s that I changed without even knowing what I’m going

Got the girlfriend an iPhone 13 Mini as well. You know, just to tell everyone how terrible it is and buy another Android as part of my trolling …

Lol two places to set your preferred email as default? Then people say Android is confusing?

I have found the odd thing weird. I know I’ve mentioned it, but I do find it odd that my ‘recent’ photos can’t be sorted but album’s can.

You forgot Cool Ideas and BMW 320d
I mean in Cool Ideas defence the service has been pretty good:ROFL:

And the 1991 Delta Motor Corporation Opel Monza 160 GSi is a very rare item so what else can a forum member drive?

At least the defence of FNB has died for Capitec so there has been some improvements in taste.

But doesn’t “Recents” imply that the folder is already sorted in order of how recently the photos were added?

It is newest at the bottom of the gallery and different to everything else I’ve used. One would think you can sort, but you can’t. That’s how it is. However in the same app you can create an album and ‘sort’ is listed.

And for the love of things Holy how can do delete a mail via a simple swipe? 10 millions settings?

No, only 1 million.

Many settings to swipe to delete a mail, or many settings to enable it?

In Gmail, Settings, Swipe Settings, set up Left and Right Swipe.
Similar in Outlook if I recall.

In which email client?

Recent IS an album sorted dynamically based on how recently it was used.

You’ll note even if a photo was taken a month ago but only recently saved to your phone it will show up there.

Hence why you can’t sort it, it’s basically an album with a default “sort by date”.

If you are using the GMail app, go into the app, click the burger bar menu, Settings and click Email Swipe Actions

Thanks for the replies.

I’m using Mail now.

It was suggested earlier when 22Seven couldn’t Gmail , and I may well as try as many Apple apps as possible.

I can get you swipe actions in Mail, but I don’t see delete options. Google mention an Advanced tab, but I can’t see it

But that’s exactly how it works? There are no settings?

All I want to do is delete a mail in at least time as possible. Yea, a few clicks and scrolls can do it but I want to swipe to do it away (delete)

It’s a default sort date Oldest to Newest. I want Newest to Oldest, just like they have in the Albums. Nothing more.

Aaah it seems you are correct it’s not on the swipe options even though it’s mentioned there.

Wonder if the underlying account maybe doesn’t support it.

Not in the habit of deleting mail with regularity.
