Well I'm not surprised he didn't reply, Keoma doesn't work for WA, he works for OpenWeb... :wtf:
 
This is the oddest thing... I was just checking SSD HD prices and their cost/GB and I had an epiphany that SA capped perGB cost is correlated with SSD perGB cost. And now 2minutes later this article.

odd...

But sorry to say that I am now firmly of the opinion that perGB internet costs should be a small fraction of SSD HD perGB cost. And I think any sane person would agree. So this is still waaay too expensive.

I'm sick of half measures.
 
Ok, I got the email promoting this offer and it says

We only have 350 of these accounts available.
* Accounts allow 4 concurrent ADSL connections
* Mandatory debit order required
* Offer available to ALL clients!
* Current clients cannot downgrade or cancell an account in favour of the promotional package, they can however add it as an additional package.

So it's a limited special offer that's why they don't migrate everyone to it.
And anybody can get this, you just cannot use this to replace an account.
You can always cancel your existing account next month, when the special is over.

Everyone seems to be very negative on this special. I think it's great (even though I am not signing up). Would you rather they didn't have any specials?

There is no mention of it being a special or limited in the article... not cool.

Also saying that exisiting customers can't sign up (don't even start about "only adding this on to existing..") is dodgy on all levels. As good as this deal is, I don't want to subscribe to a company who treats their existing clients worse than potential clients (within reason).

Always been a big fan of Openweb, KW, and what they stand for but this has all left me with a sour taste :/
 
I really wanted to sign up.

After reading the DO NOT CANCEL BuLL**** I would not even trust them.

he just lost more money.
 
If I was ever thinking of moving to OpenWeb... this will no longer be the case.
 
This pricing from Openweb compares well with other service providers. Afrihost is currently selling 15GB of data at R190 and 50GB of data for R399. Telkom’s 20GB data package is priced at R239 and the company’s 40GB data bundle costs R630.

I remain happy with Afrihost. Maybe paying a wee bit more, but I want to retain and sustain the high level of service they provide.

They also have by far the best control panel out of all the ISP's.
 
Moving towards the WebAfrica RedAfrica Special Packages.
