Advice on this PC plz.

I'm 99% certain you can use your Win7 key on 32 or 64 bit installs, just download a new iso image.

No success ponder, i've tried to install 2 different W7 OEM 64 bit images but files copy up to 10% then stop.
Waste of money on this system, stuck with a new mobo tied to OEM 32bit.

Must work. Have a look at bios settings related to hdd, ide/ahci etc.
Are you installing it to a hdd or ssd?
remove the gpu & use the onboard during installation.
remove all unneeded usb devices during install.
try installing from a usb stick instead

This is a pretty common issue which I've experienced myself in the past, there is a solution out there.

I've installed the 32bit without a problem, i guess no problem here.

Sata HDD.

Only KB, mouse, usb stick & port dvd wr on usb.

try installing from a usb stick instead
Thx, i'll definitely try this.

Thx for your time.

Problem was Orbit, both downloaded iso files were corrupt. W7 64bit up & running now after downloading 1 iso again via FF (browser build in) and it now shows 8GB (7.87 usable) Telkom's new double data promotion came in very handy now, 20GB+20GB.

You should always do md5sums on your downloads to validate the integrety. Glad you came right though ;)

Find a way to get a SSD in there (~100gb+)...even if you need to sacrifice on other fronts. For desktop usage (mail, word, basic browsing etc) it makes a big difference...more so than anything else.

Yip, my next drive will be a SSD.
