Advice on this PC plz.

The only thing that i must decide on is the processor, if i want to go for a cheaper cpu than what will it be? I don't have a clue what to look for.

Only thing cheaper than i3 is the Pentium G series which I would not recommend. The i5 listed above is the same price as an i3, makes no sense not to go for the i5 at that price.

EDIT: A single 8GB Corsair value ram stick would work out a bit cheaper (~R30) & give him the option to pop in another one later if he needs 16GB down the line.

Just noting here that the GT 730 with DDR3 memory is barely faster than the onboard IGP. Could have saved yourself a grand there if you weren't planning on doing any gaming.

A Geforce GT 730, or AMD Radeon R7 240, with 1GB GDDR5 memory would have been a better deal.

Bad planning from my side. Bought the 730 last week, decided yesterday to build a new PC.
 
730 is like running a super efficient 8800 Ultra. (The Crysis era)
IGP doesn't do fulls screen resolutions well at all, but that card can 720p ok, will at least be able to play Unreal Engine 3 games like MK IX and Gods among us fine at 60fps on medium/high.

It's normally one of those cards you get when your stuck with a crappy PSU, and people who walk into shops like Matrix and ask for recommendations.

The CPU's from PotterH are a bargain, you can't even buy a i5 for that price.

I,ve decided, bought and installed these items and win7 is running fine.
The only thing that slipped my mind is the fact that i'm running a Win 7 Pro OEM 32bit, now my available ram is only 3.38GB instead of 8GB.:mad:

I'm 99% certain you can use your Win7 key on 32 or 64 bit installs, just download a new iso image.
