Is anyone here subscribed to Afrihost's 4096 uncapped offering? I'm thinking of moving over at the end of the month howerver I would like to know what are your thoughts.

Afrihost uncapped is crap. Their caped is awesome though.

If you want uncapped get OpenWEB Gold.

I'm running on the 512 offering at the moment and have done 50 GB's this month without even trying.
No sign of shaping just yet.

The 1/2 price special is only valid until December (which you had to subscribe to in September) .

The normal price is R950 for 50gb+50gb and is valid until March 2011 (well that's what the website says)

Check out their December special 75% off...Very impressed with them after doing 70Gigs they shape veyr aggressively but then they moved me to a another IS network...full speed again (took me about 5min to sort out)

I got savagely throttled after doing 20gb a month on Afrihost uncapped. So moved to Mweb shaped, no problem here so far.

Been there, done that got annoyed by all the issues MWEB had, with afrihost I have been getting nothing less than 130kb/s avg on torrents, you tube speeds amazing, no HTTP issues what so ever...Have not tested news servers yet. (After moving to the "pits")

NO DOWNTIME, NO "PM ME YOUR DETAILS"...bla bla bla
