Axxess too, which is on the same MTN backbone.
Telkom Internet as well.
TI are also experiencing IPC related problems.Really?
If so, people must really stop blaming AH.

Too easy to blame Telkom here. There was lots AH could do, but chose not to.
They still hiding the problems by not putting up a network notice.
I've dealt with a few suggestions of what we could do - and I don't think what has been put forward is practical or viable.
I think I've also gone through our reasons for not using the network status for this purpose.

Why would you tell me I'm lying?Lies!
Please read a bit more carefully. The minute we get word from relevant service providers, no matter what time of day or night or weekend or public holiday, we will implement. But, until they execute our commercial order to some point, there is not much we can do to improve e.g. p2p or Netflix.
The point is that it is not supposed to internal politics, it is supposed to be commercial agreements (we give them most of our revenue), but I believe we get treated the worst of all of their big customers.
It kinda makes sense.
Have you guys considered a green, orange, red approach?
Isn't IPC the bridge between the adsl ATM network and the ip based real world?
IPC is essentially the bridge between Telkom's ADSL last-mile infrastructure and an ISP's own network infrastructure. IPC is how an ISP gets their data down your telephone line. If ISP's were allowed to place their own network infrastructure in Telkom's exchanges (aka Local Loop Unbundling) then IPC wouldn't be necessary, but unfortunately the current situation is that only Telkom has access to the local loop, and IPC is how Telkom shares the local loop with other providers.
Very good explanation. Will copy and paste this in future![]()
