Afrihost, Axxess ADSL network problems

Guys, if you absolutely have to attack each other on a Sunday, please do so via PM.

As mentioned via PM, I can't migrate your 1GB free account.
Our system simply doesn't allow free accounts to be migrated - it will however be migrated once production goes live.

I'm cool with that :)

What you need to do is resolve the issue and stop trying to be a pm.

We're working on resolving the issue.
If you're on DSL and can't connect, PM me your DSL username and I'll move you over to Afrigreen.

The context of my message above is to stop you guys from attacking each other, makes communicating updates and helping clients on the thread incredibly hard.

Hi AfriGuy

I am on Afrigreen (connecting from Cape Town), but my Internet is down since this morning

Thought Afrigreen is up?

Definitely no issues over on Afrigreen.
Have you tried connecting with the Telkom guest account?

Welcome to MyBB btw :)

UPDATE: We're seeing more and more successful authentications and good throughput numbers. If you're still seeing no auth please reboot your router.

Quick question though: how does a DDOS overseas affect users here not being able to authenticate on the local network? It doesn't - which means you lied. Again. Darth Visser indeed. It is disgusting and I do think between Axxess, Afrihost and MTN your customers are owed some retribution and indeed some honesty - like what the hell REALLY happened? Please, do NOT think that the BS DDOS lie is going to fly - it won't. It was a lie then and it is a lie now and I am tired of it. Try to have the courage now to tell the truth instead of telling posters in this thread not to go at each other - you should be happy they're at each other because that takes their eyes off of the real villain

Must be an iOS update.

I don't think this was due to a DDoS - we saw failed authentication sessions from our end.

Then where did Jan get this gem from?

Update: The ADSL networks of Afrihost and Axxess saw degraded performance thanks to a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack on MTN.

"The DDoS attack on our carrier provider is occurring between their UK and AMS peers which is causing congestion on the upstream [network]," Axxess said.

MTN has mitigated the attack and the two ADSL providers said that service should be returning to normal.

Ah guys when is this going to be resolved. I am wasting money on data with other ISP's. Even on my phone I have afrihost mobile, now I need to use data on mtn, and out of bundle.
