I'm having the exact same issues with the business account... capped account works perfectly.

Capped:
Last Result: Download Speed: 8400 kbps (1050 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 698 kbps (87.3 KB/sec transfer rate) Latency: 12 ms 10/31/2014, 8:37:31 PM

Business:
Last Result: Download Speed: 1839 kbps (229.9 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 591 kbps (73.9 KB/sec transfer rate) Latency: 10 ms 10/31/2014, 8:44:08 PM

Been back and forth now with Afrihost for the last month.

All they do is "refresh" my account and say it could be a local problem or an issue on the exchange. Telkom has been out twice now.

Sick and tired of this crap now...

Here is an example of the amazing support i get:
We cannot find an issue with your Business account at the moment, but if your Capped account performs better, it is more likely to be related to a local issue as Business and Capped accounts are constructed from the same policies. We are however working on the network since our upgrade to improve overall experience on all accounts.

How the hell is it a "local" issue if the capped account works fine with you? And I have the same problem, so does this mean ALL of us have local issues, while Afrihost is 100% functional.

I call porkies.

NOT good enough.

No comment bro.... not sure if anyone that side knows what they doing. You go through all the effort of doing tracerts and speed tests etc and then you get an answer like that.

Lol, to all those that canceled, are your accounts still working? Got a mail saying that my account is now deleted but it still works. Ironically its the first time in weeks that I get decent speeds. LOL

Everything seems to be working a bit better except Youtube. Buffering all the time. Could you guys please look into this?

internet died this morning and is still not working
test with another account and working fine
whats up afrihost too much capacity?

No according to afrihost everything is PERFECT on their side. We are all suffering from "local" issues.

Same issues here in Cape Town.... since this so-called "upgrade", it seems my speeds have gone to hell AGAIN.
All was well in the day before yesterday... now the line is erratic and all over the place (much more than normal).

Have had many instances of NO throughput for about 4 minutes at a time, and when it returns, my speed is terrible for the next 3 hours. I have to restart the router if I want it to work correctly... none of my other ISP accounts have this problem, and this happens WITHOUT the line dropping, or losing sync.

WTF AH? WTF?

Not cool Afrihost not cool at all.

On a completely other topic directed @AH, will you guys be supporting the Vumatel network in the future, I see they are rolling out FTTH like mad and will have packages as early as 2015(in Parkhurst)?

Again constant stuttering during streaming all the time, switch to capped test account, no issues whatsoever.

But NO, it's LOCAL problems, ne. Please tell me that one more time.

Afrihost is going to lose a lot of customers if they don't sort out their network. Many people I work with recommended I join Afrihost - those same people are now looking at leaving.

Maybe that was the plan, increase capacity by losing customers....

Sounds legit.

I agree. Only a miracle will keep me at Afrihost after November.
