Thanks. I'm happy that Afrihost are now at least updating network status to reflect issues but is this really medium impact? I can't even access sites I host with Afrihost properly at the moment.
Hi guys
We're starting to look better in the North, we're still working hard to see similar improvements in the South though. Our team are working tirelessly to have this sorted out, I know a lot of you aren't seeing the best results
More feedback should be available in the morning.
Well, Well, Well...I am assuming that you guys are talking about the North and South poles right? Cause I am looking worst than I was 3 hours ago.

By the way, whilst you guys are working on the Santas (North Poles) Internet, can you please get Santa Afrihost to get me some nice pressies for this inconvenience?
I am sure that I will be considered as good this year, after all, I had to put up with this, and on top of that I am still here with AH as my ISP and in "Johannesburg North" area, not the the North Pole Afripeeps.
Hope you have a sleepless night fixing Santas Internet.I know, bit mean, but I have to make myself smile somehow. Right?
Have a cup of coffee on me!!!
It has entered the realm of sadness. But it is only difficult for those who remember, with nostalgia, the good old days. The shaped don't speak. What remains now is pity, a sad shake of the head, the lighting of a candle and then the final stage: Accepting the tragic loss and moving on.
Steam appears to time out during problems such as the one many of our clients are experiencing, restarting the Steam Client has often gotten it connected and working again on my end.
And than with sadness in his eyes, he said "Good Night Mr. Tom", as he shut down his PC, switched off his router in attempt to at least save some electricity.
2.4Mbs.......I wish......I am sitting on 68KB/s, yes, you read correctly, 68KB/s on a 10Meg bus account at 10.02pm in the evening!!!!!!2.4Mbps atm. It just keeps getting slower. Youtube can barely manage 480p.

Am I reading this properly? This traceroute goes from the local network, to a server in the UK and then back down to Joburg?
AfriREPS
Please can we get someone who's actually doing the changes to the network to respond, AfriGenie from your earlier replies it seems you're on the team?
Failing this I think a trip to Rivonia is in order....
Ja, AFAIK its cheaper to send the data internationally rather than locally, I think Cell C also do this
