Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback - 2

So here we all wait for the typical Monday morning excuses from the AfriTeam, it seems Afrihost do not want to acknowledge that there is a problem with latency on their network, but it would also seem the problem is getting worse with each passing week. I have given these clowns one more month to get their ass into gear.
I will actively continue to warn people about Afrihost and their piss poor service. They dug their own grave.

I'm guessing whatever problems you'll were having. You'll still haven't been able to fix?

Sorry about all of this :(
What area are you in?

linux downloads on http are throttled as well no point in downloading

Not sure if you saw my post earlier, but I really need you to PM me your account info so we can run some troubleshooting together.
I know that you're frustrated, but I'd prefer to work together on this.

Oh dear Afrihost. Third time in two weeks I actually make time to complain on this site. Youtube videos buffering around 8PM. I gave up, and started playing BF4. Started off with 25 ping, then at around 9PM, ping went to 290, and I was kicked from the locally hosted server for 'bad ping'. What are you going todo, or should I really go and cancel my account now? Is that what you want?

I'm in george, on brand new isam (20 meg vdsl), syncing up and down at brilliant speeds, and around 80 meters from exchange.

It's hard to see from the results if latency is coming from our side, but I can see on my reports that latency spiked last night. It looks like it started as early as just after 8pm (which is earlier than we've seen previously) and latency was poor possibly until just before 10pm. Our technical team are looking into this to see what further changes can be made. I really hope they can make further progress, as I can imagine how tough it must be to game and stream with that kind of latency.

We definitely saw high latency at that time in the South on the network, so we'll need to keep working on bring the peak latency down when demand is at it's highest :(

P2p dead in the water.

Not only you, my router has restarted 3X since 6:30pm, now p2p is dead and I'm only getting 16kb/s download and 40kb's upload on my 2meg line... the joys

I think if latency was very high it would have affected lots of services. P2P is usually not as badly affected, but it's possible. I was running P2P last night in the North and was actually seeing much better speeds than I've seen in a while :(

Also had issues last night with my Afrihost Business package. Same story as last week; would be playing LoL and at about 6pm, all would be fine, but the later the evening went, the higher the ping went. Started at 200ms at 6pm, then it went up to around 400ms when it was 8pm. Been having this the whole of last week and now last night as well, so I assume this is a usual thing.

Will grab some tracert's and speedtests tonight for reporting purposes. But in the mean time, I suppose I'll need to use my WA trial account to play games with :/
