Rebooting router didnt work, using my Afrihost 1GB free account didn't work.
Plugg account did work though. I just gave up and went to bed.

Anyway on my last edit

"Why cant we get some sort of notification of downtime, etc? Why is this stuff not planned? Its obvious there are issues and Network Management Systems need to be restarted, etc. But this CAN be communicated to Users. Its so easy to send an email with my invoice in without fail, but no indication of upgrades or KNOWN system downtime is never communicated.

Even Clash of Clans has the decency to tell me when downtime is going to occur. "

When we're doing the kind of work we are on the network, any downtime is pretty much unexpected and avoided at all costs. Although we understand the urgency and would love to take the network down completely to be able to work on it without unexpected results, our clients connectivity is still the highest priority and all work is planned in such a way to avoid disconnections or downtimes.

I don't know that any clients should have been disconnected for this length of time, and clients who were disconnected at all we only part of a small group, the majority of clients remained connected throughout, even when policy changes were pushed out, which is why some needed to reboot their routers to start experiencing better speeds.

We've been in constant communication here on MyBB to provide as much info as possible. I don't believe that this is the case in general. From our client surveys the majority of our clients receive a great level of service. When we don't meet that benchmark, we definitely want to work hard to improve, but I don't agree with a blanket statement.

I still disagree, I have sent PMS, never got a response unless I actually ask again what is happening, I have to beg here for you or one of the other reps to get Critical care to call or let me know what is going on, so sorry, you are not communicating efficiently. There have also been instances with outages posted on your home page but no one here is aware of it.

You may have had some poor experiences and I'm sorry that this has been the case, but I don't think this is every client's experience. Many people have posted here that they've been helped by Critical Care through some very tough and complex issues, and I think they're a huge asset to the team.

I don't claim to be perfect, there are times where we don't post a hosting outage, or we don't know of a planned notice when people have requested one. But I do believe we add value to our client's experience, and I think the role we play here on MyBB does benefit those who want to engage with us.

@AfriMan Is there anyway that I could move my line hosting before the end of the month? I dont mind still paying for the full month I just need it moved because from the time I moved to AH my line has been snycing at 3mb (4mb business account). And the guy I spoke to at AH at the time said its normal. I was a noob with this stuff so I believed him. I did some more research and checked some screen shots i took with a previous ISP when my line was hosted by Telkom and I was syncing at 6mbs. I don't think the price I'm paying is fair for my snyc speed of 3 mb.

I have scheduled a cancellation but it was only after the 25th of last month and they said that I have to wait until the end of this month. Anyway, my exchange was upgraded to support 10mb now so I need to move on to that.

It definitely echoes my experience. To be fair to you, though, it wasn't you specifically.

If you do the cancellation in ClientZone now, it would be pending for the end of the month. Otherwise, you can use the relocate option, and that will allow you to set a custom date for the line to move back to Telkom.

I'll need to look at it, but 4Mbps and 10Mbps do allow multiple profiles and sometimes Telkom set the line to the sync they feel will perform best. But send me a PM so I can check it out for you. If you were at 6Mbps before, then it should be able to do more than 3Mbps.

So, today my pool problem was sorted, my ABS EBD sensor on my Hyundai was sorted, I had a great discussion with my workers and resolved industrial action and we got our SANAS accreditation.

All that remins for the perfect day, is not to burn the meat on the braai tonight and to get internet sorted.

I suggest you guys look at the East region ..... hint hint

We're working on the policies mostly on the North, and once we're satisfied we're going to roll these out to the devices across all regions. We have sent through some changes, only those we've proven are working correctly.

Ok .... moving to Jo'burg :D:D

Yesterday speeds were perfect running pretty much 100% Today has gotten worse than it's ever been. Speeds are fluctuating horribly at best one minute ping hitting 500ms on local server with only 3rd of my line speed then next minute speeds and ping seems almost normal again and then back to ****e.

Looks like something may have gone wonky, seeing some weird reports on our side as well. I think they are dealing with it. Speeds could behave strangely if they make a change that doesn't work as expected :(

Hopefully it gets sorted out quickly. Couple tests now seem almost fine but will keep checking periodically during the day.

There have been some improvements over the past few hours, but we are still seeing some areas misbehave, if you guys can report any dips in performance it will help us a lot!
