Ok cool thanks for the feedback. Looks like the only way to get real internet is by looking if you can get fiber. you pay a lot but actually the 2mb from neotel doesn't look that bad consider it's true unshaped until you reach your softcap then you get half speed so I think it's still good. As a matter of fact the pings and so on should be good. Also none of that you to far or no it's telkom etc etc.
 
Didn't Afrihost upgrade recently to prevent this bad quality?

Looks like the doom says about MTN were right? This quality is not suitable for business needs if the quality goes bad every month.

same here 600ms international, 500ms local.
 
Things have gone south here in the south. High latency and streaming is crap.
 
We've all been patient but this is just pushing me over the edge to change isp.

Heres my latency trying to play WoW

Afrihost - Over 2k ms

Guess its time to move back to WA, if they can give me that performance 9 out of 10 times im gone
 
Guys, I have an AH account until the end of this month. I was not able to use the service and got frustrated like you guys are right now...

I jumped ship to an ISP without Telkom or copper (a WISP) and I will not go back - the WISP has an SLA! Everything is perfect :)

Make the move and you will be happier!
 
i would have thought that my broadband would have done an article about ah seeing as this bad service has been going on for some time

Okay so far things are back to normal

Local - things seem to be okay, not too much fluctuations in speed

International - New York, Optimum Online - speed is acceptable, but jittery

EDIT - will be keeping an eye out for what happened this afternoon from 16:00 so don't disappoint

My speeds seem better.............
But for how long?

True, speed at night tends to be better. During the day is when it's at its worse. Right now I wish I at least had something decent to show.
