Speak of the devil  It's almost like my connection gets overloaded and then drops, why can't I have nice things  Also I haven't heard any response from telkom or Afrihost on what is being done to fix my line, all I got was a reference number from telkom and no further communication from either.

Bad karma visiting you too

This is bull**** downgraded to a capped account with 10mbps line which still hasn't gone back up to 10mbps, it just stays at 8, now im getting WORSE download speeds, but at least my pings are much better?

Why can't my line go back to the way it was for more than 2 years, it was perfectly synced fine at 10.

Business uncapped or Home uncapped or Capped looks like the all the same to me. SH*T!!

I have a sneaky suspicion that a lot of the problems we are seeing wrt congestion is thanks to Telkoms speed bumps that are done without looking at the overall capacity of the exchange.

I would really recommend PMing Telkomza, charl has been stellar in fault finding and resolving my problems.

Thanks Afrihost for this wonderful 10M

Still some slight fluctuations, especially with latency but infinitely better than the last two days.

Since the weekend problems started my ping has been playable on games. As for speed it hasn't affected me because im only on a 2mb.

Yeah I'm not quite sure what happened to their support, was great when I first signed up and was open for much longer hours, now not so much. Really disappointing.

Seriously Afrihost, WTF?

Download speeds reflect the crap speed test results I'm getting. I've checked and nothing is being downloaded on the home network.

Wonder how Afrihost would feel if I short-paid for this weekend? Oh wait it's a "best effort service" honestly don't think I want to stick around for much longer here since we will get the same schpiel tomorrow, sorry guys there was a Telkom / emptyN / random other party's fault and we worked really hard at fixing it.

Incidentally it can't be a big enough problem for it to be noted on their site as fokall has changed on it :(

the problems we are having is starting to look like a ipc shortage of some kind as the other isps we have tested with is unaffected

Sorry the urge to troll is great when I have spent the entire ****ing day trying to do a 10g download that should have been done in a couple of hours max :(
