What DNS are you using? Have you tried rebooting your router? This webpage is not available

Im getting that.

Came here to post about my abysmal latency issues, but I see that it is a known issue for a few days already.
I'm seeing 120ms+ to any local IP addresses on Business Uncapped! If I use my WebAfrica capped account, I'm seeing ~30ms.
Are we being routed via Europe or something? Throughput seems to be okay still, but WOW, those latencies!
Update:
Dialled up with four ADSL accounts on my router and pinged each one from the office (Vox Fibre). Results here: http://prntscr.com/7d1nud
"Your test account" refers to the test account that Simphiwe at Afrihost gave me to test.
Why are the Afrihost accounts performing so terribly?! I have asked two friends on Afrihost to test and they report the same thing, so it seems its not just Business Uncapped that is affected.
Update 2:
Aaaaaand its fixed. Would love to know what happened. Seems like the entire Afrihost Network was affected.

Afrihost has an oopsie...
Why is the ping so high on local tests, my ping sits at 159ms cpt to cpt, where before it used to be around 15ms. This is on the speedtest hosted by this website??
any idea why this is happening??
Looks like we are seeing a small rise in latency at the moment. Looks like we are seeing high demand right now![]()
This is not only recently but for the past few months?
This is only during a short period, usually between 9pm and 10pm, and varies according to demand. There have been quite a few nights when latency has remained stable during that time.

Still does not answer my question latency used to be about 15ms, now its 150ms or greater? This is any time of the day, even over weekends.
Not for at least a week.
If it's all day then there is most likely another cause. We're seeing pretty normal latency across the network for the day and after 10pm![]()
So if its all day, what could the problem be?
