Any news regarding my discussed issue, and the PM I had to send?

My Internet is down sins 08:00 AM 2014-06-26 ...
Authentication Problem Again, again, again...(This is the 4th time)
I emailed Support and all they did is send me back instructions how to Setup the settings and username/password on modem.
So I did that, and made sure everything is correct, but no PPPOE connection on my Business Account, 1GB Free Acount or Telkom Guest Account!!!

So I ask AfiMan for some help.. All he could say it looks like Telkom DSLAM is down??
My Phone line is working perfectly but No Internet Joy
Does anybody in Bronkhorstspruit Area have the same DSLAM down problem??
Been battling the hole week with this Authentication Problem or DSLAM down or what ever the problem is..

P.S. My Twitch streaming also sucks.. Even worst now, cause there is no internet.

If you are not able to connect on any of your accounts (you mentioned your Business Account, 1Gb Free Account and Telkom Guest Account) then this is clearly not an Afrihost problem, but rather, as Afriman mentioned, a problem with your "Telkom DSLAM" or exchange. It could also possible be that your router has some problems, preventing you from connecting. Are your neighbours also having this connection problem?

If you are not able to connect on any of your accounts (you mentioned your Business Account, 1Gb Free Account and Telkom Guest Account) then this is clearly not an Afrihost problem, but rather, as Afriman mentioned, a problem with your "Telkom DSLAM" or exchange. It could also possible be that your router has some problems, preventing you from connecting. Are your neighbours also having this connection problem?

I just talk to Afihost Live Support as well. So clearly the problem is the DSLAM is down in my Area.

Hi Afihost, changed my DSL 4 meg business bundle to 6 meg. How long does it take to reflect speed wise? I have rebooted the router, fixed my line via control panel and a few other things, what am I missing?

A line speed upgrade usually takes about 48 hours.

I'm sorry to hear that your speeds and service are not reliable. From this post it's hard to know what could be the cause cos we're comparing DSL to mobile (sounds like 3G).

Have you run any DSL diagnostics like our Network Test App?

Yeah was 3G/HSDPA modem, didn't mean to compare wireless to DSL, was just illustrating that the normally worse connection (wireless) was performing better than the fixed line) I was hoping the unshaped connection would prove legendary...

So ping test follows (Afrihost Network Tester) and a Pathping to my game server...

and a quote from Blizzard Technical Support

"Your connection seems to be showing package loss straight away after it exits your home network. Issues like this are likely the cause behind the massive latency you are getting."
