Ja nee.

I don't know what is worse....... waiting for AH accounts department to get back to me on a query I sent two days ago, this constant crap with authentication, the almost non existent video streaming capability with a 6Mb line, the year it took Telkom to fix the ADSL line problem or the fact that since this MTN partnership it has slowly degraded into a pile of poo that is getting stinkier by the day.

From their own net status page - auth issues around 8pm on 18 Jun, 23 Jun, 24 Jun and now 30 Jun. Seriously, how cr@p is that? That's 4 evenings in less than two weeks that users haven't been able to get online. I'm beginning to suspect that it's just shaping by another name.

Hey guys

I'm sincerely sorry about the downtime :( I know this really sucks.
Not too sure if this is related to last weeks issue as that should have been resolved.

We are aware and working on a fix for this, I'm sure it'll be up sooner rather than later.

My 10Mb business account account is maxing out at 250Kb/s downloading 7.1.2 from the Apple servers.

Also noticed the increased frequency of this. While I don't think this is on purpose, it doesn't look good for AH.

Can't authenticate. Been like this for a few hours now. Posting this on a WebAfrica backup account.

I'll be honest. This is getting really annoying. A full month of the same thing and no fix?

:( not a happy chappy at all.

Maybe this is just a cynical way for MTN to deal with, I'm guessing, huge bandwidth demands at the moment? It's month end, Wimbledon, the world cup, and the schools have just broken up. Everyone is streaming live sport, the kids are gaming online all night, and capped users everywhere are trying to use every last gigabyte before midnight. What to do? Well, you've just bought 51% of your client, one of the largest ISP's, so kill their authentication during high demand periods, it's not like they can go elsewhere, bwahaha...

Well i was not impressed at all. No email or sms or even a notice on there website to say the network is down.

My 10Mb business account account is maxing out at 250Kb/s downloading 7.1.2 from the Apple servers.

Could be slow download from Apple. Apple's servers are sometime overloaded (especially with IOS and Yosemite Beta's floating around)

Also noticed the increased frequency of this. While I don't think this is on purpose, it doesn't look good for AH.

Definitely not on purpose - that's for sure :(

It looks like there is something very complex going on, and we're implementing changes every time this occurs. With the level of senior management involvement, I don't believe the solution will evade us much longer. Unfortunately we can only study the issue when it occurs because we can't recreate it otherwise :(

Worked great on a WebAfrica account, Apple's servers are not to blame.

I really hope you sort out whatever issues you got going on with your network really really soon, this is starting to look like OpenWeb 2.0

Phew... I am clutching wood... I have no issues to report.

Working as advertised here, school holidays and-all, with Origin and Steam updates / DLC /game-play for the young-uns and all [-]there[/-] their 'toobing... close to full speed even during office hours with the work being done. No authentication troubles thus far, although the modem internet light changed from green to red last night, but everything still works and no disconnections experienced.

I am on the greener grass this side for a change!
