Our JHB network is running very well, we're doing very little shaping so there is definitely good throughput on the network.

What diagnostics have you run?

When you say "very little shaping" you mean "none", right?

Business accounts are, after all, unshaped?

When I got married I was told there would be very little difference to my lifestyle ... that was before I became a fat, alcoholic, henpecked, smoker with two lazy kids and a wife who is against post marital sex and home cooking .....:D:D:D

Business accounts are unshaped. I was saying this as an indication of demand on the network. When we're not shaping much, it means that throughput and latency should be excellent becuase there is pretty much minimal contention for bandwidth.

Sorry if this caused confusion - was just trying to indicate that the network is running like a bomb :)
 
Slightly off topic - what number does one call to find out if your exchange is VDSL capable? Our exchange was apparently upgraded this weekend, but the online checking tool doesn't reflect any change and when I called 10210, the lady I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about and promised to forward my question on to their technical dept., who I haven't heard a peep from since.

Also Afriman - any word on the timing of any changes to capped pricing, if any?

On marriage, that's why I married my Playstation :)

Who needs ironing and cooking. That's why we have blue jeans (that never need ironing) and Mr Delivery.

Now bring on the Call of Duty!!!!
 
I have come to the conclusion that this is going no where, my edge on my ipad is faster than my 2mb business account...
