My boeing on steroids is back to a fat turkey jumping off a ledge

Was great while it lasted. Looking forward to the IPC upgrade

Bearing in mind I have done 160GB since the first on my line so I can't really complain

Gone are the days where we would actually get some sort of explanation. Or you know what I really miss?? The sms I used to get to tell me that they are aware of an issue and that it will be rectified soon. Guess AH is becoming just another ISP. Nothing special!!

Hey Guys

We're seeing a lot of reports of high latency which is also showing up on our monitoring for the North region. We don't yet know the cause, it doesn't appear to be directly related to the IPC in the region - but we're investigating urgently.

Will keep you updated as best I can :(

Hope it's not IPC.... this is how it starts...
Next the thread will be peppered with JHB/PTA (NORTH) clients complaining :p

So why are you only responding to this matter now? Where have your engineers and support staff been all weekend?

Was wondering the same thing, not too sure where the 24/7 support is. Spent 25 mins waiting on the phone on Saturday trying to get some support.

It's just after 12pm and I'm getting 589KB/s download speed on my 6Mbit connection with Afrihost's free usenet server. Very impressed! Game of Thrones came through very quickly via torrent earlier too.

Have you received any communication from Telkom regarding the IPC upgrades? Can you share that with us?

None yet I'm afraid, we'll definitely communicate any timelines/ implementations as soon as we get them though.

No it sounds like they are going to milk us for another month or two, because its Telkom's fault!

How the fudge do you run a company with all these unknowns?

Both MTN and ourselves are pushing Telkom as hard as possible for the upgrades to get pushed live ASAP.

What you are however saying is that the 10th was a "zOMG we hope", because there is no confirmed date or time or nothing?

And the fact that I can't even stream a 720p video on 10Mbps connection is ****ing me off

No.
I mentioned last week that this was the ETA given to us by Telkom, to be installed by the 10th April 2014.
