Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

We're definitely cognizant of the fact that not all of the Users are getting a consistent experience, and this what we're working on improving.

What is good to hear, the "I don't use it for live streaming or gaming (I have an IS account for that )," part?
I would have thought that yet another client is having to pay two ISP in order to make Afrihost usable would set off red flags not cheers of joy.

I was focusing more on the downloads, streaming and browsing part.

But as I said, the consistency part is very important to us, and is our top priority as it stands at the moment.
 
CPT - High Latency and packet loss

Anyone in the South experiencing high latency?
Latency for local (myBB) test is sitting around 181ms.
Pings are showing timeouts.

Local speeds are anywhere between 0.4mbps and 8mbps all within 5mins.

FFS afripeeps still the same old 30KB/s iOS download issue again tonight. You told me two days ago they had found the issue and you would report back here shortly.

How long can it possibly take an ISP to sort out 1 issue?

This iOS update thing is really becoming irritating now! Can take me half the night to update 1 big application.

The fact that the download moves to full line speed once going through a VPN means there is nothing actually wrong, you guys are shaping certain protocols.

One would think it would be easy to resolve.

Last night's issue with International throughput caused significant havoc, I'm trying to see if I can find out what the progress is now.

Just as an aside, how are your other downloads looking at the moment?

Http are fine haven't tried others. Regardless of what the others are doing I want my iOS downloads sorted, it's been a month.

Hi - Can any of the AfriPeeps please look at my service ASAP!
An account reset was actioned by AfriGenie and the wheels have fallen off.
The callcentre is clearly overwhelmed. Sitting in a queue... for 8mins so far :( and it's the 3rd time I've tried in the last hour and the wait time is still unacceptable.

PS: Happy to wait if it's a tollfree call. NOT happy burning mobile airtime. :(

Could this same issue be affecting PSN downloads? I Have recently cancelled my Openweb Uncapped account (hardly do any downloading anymore) and decided I would try a 200GB capped account with Afrihost. On a 10Mb line I am getting 890kbps download speed from PSN, trying to preload Project Cars. Did I make a mistake cancelling with Openweb?

Possibly, will test a PS4 download tonight and see.
